Heute hatte ich eine Online-Deutschstunde und das Thema war "Heimweh" und das Gefühl, die Menschen zu vermissen, die man liebt. Ich habe das Wort "die Geliebte" benutzt, um eine Geliebte zu beschreiben. Mein Lehrer sagte, dass dieses Wort die Person bedeutet, mit der man eine Affäre hat. Das war ein lustiger Moment, den ich mit euch teilen wollte. ^^

Präpositionen (prépositions like bei, nach, von, über) are notoriously difficult, because they seldom match up 100% between languages. Bei is often but not always a spacial preposition meaning close by(!), next to or at. Those belong to the verb, but sometimes get chopped off and put at the end of a sentence. Etwas beitragen - contribute Ich trage etwas bei. I contribute something
