So this is obviously not going to be helpful since you just bought brand new oven mitts but, to keep in mind once these ones start to go you should grab the ones that are silicone glove oven mits, the outside stays so clean and is easy to quickly rinse off then the inside is plush and like putting your hand in a puffer jacket, I don't even feel that slight warmth from whatever I'm holding like you do with just cloth mitts because the silicone protects from the heat so well. And then for a proper clean you can chuck it in the wash and that's just for cleaning where your already clean hands go inside so it's not often you need to wash. I've had mine for atleast 5 years and still looks brand new. Anyway that's way too many words on such a boring topic so I'll shut up now
