For Sowoon, have you looked into doing a lime sulfur dip? It is used for non specific dermatoses on dogs and cats. My cat from years ago started to lose the fur on her shoulders. It started to spread and continued for months. Our vet thought it was allergies, and we tried all kinds of special diets which didn't help. Then I read about lime sulfur dips and thought that it was worth a try. We did 2-3 dips over a month and then her fur started growing back. At the time, I could not believe the simplest treatment was what actually helped her. We never figured out exactly what was causing her condition, but I suspect it was either a fungus or microscopic parasite that she was not able to fight off with her immune system. She didn't smell great during the treatment, but it was worth it. Also, I love all your videos and thank you so much for taking us on so many journeys with your pets, family, and South Korea!

Also forgot to mention that we had two cats and only one had the condition, which was why the vet did not think it would be a parasite. The thinking was then both of the cats should have it. But whatever it was, it only affected one cat and the lime sulfur dip resolved the condition.

Hi Alice, thank you for sharing your experience..! I've searched for lime sulfur dip and on the internet it says it's for ring worm or fungus? Should I examine Woon for that first and then try the lime sulfur dip ? What do you think..??

@@KiSHLog My kitty had a test for ringworm that came back negative, but somehow, the lime sulfur dip still cured her. My vet also did not recommend this treatment. I researched and decided to try it on my own after months of vet bills and her condition kept getting worse. I'm not sure if the vet has tests that can diagnose every kind of microscopic parasite/fungus that our pets can have so it is worth a try, and it is inexpensive. I will warn you that the lime sulfur dip smells like rotten eggs and your pet will have yellow fur for a week or two (my kitty was white, like Woon). But both the smell and the yellow fur will go away. I dipped my kitty in a tub of warm diluted lime sulfur dip, which took forever to dry. I'm reading online now that people used a spray bottle that seems way more convenient. You just need to make sure Woon's fur and skin are thoroughly soaked and in contact with the diluted lime sulfur dip. You don't rinse it off. You let him dry naturally. I was reading reviews on chewy . com for this product, and it seems to have worked for fungus, mites, and other things. If what's happening to Woon is alopecia, then the lime sulfur dip probably won't work. But if it is a parasite or fungus, which animals often get, then maybe it can help. I'm so hoping that this relatively simple solution will help Woon too!

Vets (I met 2 doctors in 2 different hospital) said it is indeed an alopecia. But treatment didn't work. Sigh.. Not sure what to do.

@@KiSHLog How did the vets test to know that his body was attacking his hair follicles from an autoimmune issue (alopecia areata)? Was it diagnosed definitively through a blood test? Did the vets do a skin scrape test? My vet didn't do a skin scrape but they did a ringworm test that came back negative. Maybe instead of doing a full body dip, you can use a spray bottle with diluted lime sulfur and test a patch on Woon. You would probably need to spray this patch every couple of days in case fungus/parasite can get back to this spot. Lime sulfur is very safe (they even use on kittens and puppies). It is also only like $12 for a bottle. With my kitty, I got to the point I was willing to try anything and this was the least expensive out of them all. I know these are all hard decisions so good luck!

As time has gone by, it has become more about the beauty of your films depicting the human story of your family and exposing me to the wonders of Korea. Little Claire is my star for in her we are reminded of the innocence, spontaneity and gracefulness of children. Our freedom isn't guaranteed anymore (you must stay at home from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.) and many shops and little factories closed down forever because of this 'emergency' that has lasted a year and a half. They want that a patient with symptoms remains at home with paracetamol and waits for his health to be really bad, so at this point you can be hospitalized and given oxygen (and die if you're frail). Of course this is a recipe for disaster. Many, many people have died while they could have been easily cured! Fortunately many (real) doctors have demonstrated (from March 2020), with their patients, that c.19 can be easily cured with cheap medications (if cured from the beginning) and no one has to die from it, but the government DENIES it and all it wants to do is vaccinate everyone and everything, despite it's an experiment that's being tested now on the population. Many people died or had permanent injuries from vaccine complications, but they say it isn't really a problem. Furthermore many doctors and studies say that v. don't prevent contagion and a vaccinated person can be vehicle for contagion, so it's not a solution. I'm very concerned.. I hope you're in a better situation!

You might not believe me, but last night I watched your video of Soseol when she was just 7 days at your home. It was so heartwarming, but it made me wonder when we would hear from your again, so this was a lovely surprise. You have such an amazing rapport with your wife and child. I am always glad to see Claire eating; playing and smiling. She is such a treasure and has two wonderful parents to help her grow up to be an amazing person. It's Mother's Day in the USA on Sunday and Father's Day will come in June, but I feel like this came right on time, because those who can care and love as you have shown here deserve recognition at any time of the year!

I cried watching the moments when Claire brought flowers to your late mom and also gave presents to you on parents’ day. Always feel at ease and calm when watching your videos. Condolences to you on the loss of your mom, she is in a beautiful place on the hilltop. I lost my mom Oct. 2020, I took her out of the nursing home to care for her at home, I could no longer stand to be separated from her with Covid lockdowns, I felt it was cruel and unusual punishment to keep her there any longer not being able to see her. I took her home in time, she passed 7 days later, she was waiting to come home to be with us to die. She passed quietly and comfortably, she is now with Jesus her savior and we will be together soon. I got to tell her this as her last breaths left her body so she heard us. Bless you and your lovely family. This video made me cry as I really miss my mom.
