A cattle boy in Ghana to full scholarship, meeting Bill Clinton, and marrying American wife on F1

I interviewed my friend in this episode. John has an incredible journey of many failures before successes. He grew up in a village near Salaga in the Northern part of Ghana, rearing cattle and working as a cobbler. He failed his WASSCE math paper and had to take the NOV/DEC exam. The money to register for the NOV/DEC was a challenge for his parents.
Eventually, he came to UCC and after graduation, he struggled to study abroad. Then one day, after securing admission without a good scholarship, he went for his f1 student visa interview and he was denied. Within a few days in 2017, he received a full Rotary scholarship from the Clinton Foundation. By studying at the University of Arkansas, Clinton School of Public Service, he met former US President Bill Clinton a few times.
John is married to an American woman with two kids. He will tell us how he met his wife.
John has a dream of becoming the president of Ghana, and this is something he talked about many times while we were at UCC. So I actually call him Your Excellency.
