He is telling the truth, the church has not wanted to deal with this as it makes you seem like you don't believe God, but there are so many people on the bible that have dealt with depression, David, Elijah, Joseph and on and on, read the word, this doesn't mean God can't use you...I know I deal with it everyday!!!! Praise God for Pastor Jenkins, I wish more pastors, ministers and people of God would be for real in this area! 🙏🙌❣❣

First, I want to say, I like this pastor but I will have to write my perspective about this sermon. This message is not a cure for a chemical imbalance. This message is mostly for those who are generally depressed, not clinically depressed. By the way, not all medication works for some people, so saying take your medication is a bit off. If you are not familiar with mental illness, it is not smart to talk about something so deep without proper understanding and better yet experience. This message can be a big trigger for those who are suffering. Just listen to the people laughing as if people who are clinically depressed and take medication are crazy or some sort. The medication doesn't do anything but zombie most people. The MAJORITY of therapists are so mediocre, sticking to book knowledge and not diving deep into individuals' psyches to help them better understand themselves and find effective ways to cope. Preachers just need to stick to their roles because some things should not be addressed especially if it is addressed sloppy. PTSD, abuse, and trauma obviously are not considered in the message. Most people suffering want a way out which is why suicide is high due to the struggles of finding peace. A good word is not enough. If a good word could transform lives who are clinically suffering, they would not go to the extent of suicide. We are called for a purpose not just slap a Bible in front of people. We who are believers should be the “HELP” to others. We call upon the lord but yet do not want to allow God to use us as vessel to do his work. It is more than the word, it is the actions of believers for others to experience the works of God.

@@CC-pc6fz Yes, someone generally depressed. This is NOT a cure for a chemical imbalance. This subject is not to be played it. It has caused more people to give up than helped simply because of surface level knowledge.
