Nestled in the picturesque Antrim County of northwest Michigan, Shooks Farm is a fourth-generation family-owned agricultural gem. Situated near the stunning Grand Traverse Bay, Lake Michigan, and Torch Lake, this farm boasts a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1914. Over the past century, Shooks Farm has cultivated a diverse array of crops, including wheat, strawberries, asparagus, soy beans, and canola, while also raising beef cattle. However, their most prized crop in recent years has been their exquisite cherries.
Recently, the farm has embarked on an exciting new venture, growing grapes and producing their own wine and cider under the name Cellar 1914, paying homage to the farm's founding year. Shooks Farm is committed to upholding its agricultural heritage while embracing the thriving local tourism industry, offering visitors a unique and immersive experience in the heart of Michigan's beautiful countryside.
Hutson Inc. is proud to partner and support great farms and people like the Shooks family.
