I know most people see Abe/Grave as Cinderella's mom but I personally consider her as the fairy godmother with the rapture queen being the evil step mom and the commander of course being the prince. Fits perfectly with the fairytale

It does, what’s more interesting is when you play the campaign story mode when you kill Raptures on the map. They never come back (in a case example: Genshin impact, if you venture too far away from a location the enemy’s will just spawn back) I was curious as to why they never come back and now we have a reason because of Cinderella destroying the space elevator.

I think the part that got me the most in her story was when she was taken and "experimented" on Abe was most likely still working on the old assumptions that Nikke were still considered hero's/gods in the peoples eyes so when she was treated so horribly and so unlike a living person despite everything (including the knowledge that she was one of the first models and in turn was made before the ark). It also just went to show how possibly fast everyone turned on the Nikke where In only a decade or so they were already potentially being seen as nothing more than machines

I think the neurological damage started before she was kept by the researchers for a year. After a fight near the lab where she was keeping cinderella in her coffin, She started to forget information, she realized when she couldn't fix something that she had already fix before. She decided to study and relearn on her own

Grave a mass produced nikke who fought far beyond her expected service date for those she loves. Red Shoes a devil who stole a spot in the 2nd gen from anyone far more deserving and created an unspeakable horror, Siren and Hansel & Gretel lost and forgotten never given a truly proper chance to fight, and Cinderella whose dream was nearly shattered but still clings to the hope of one day rewriting that tale... I hope they join up with a truly deserving commander who will guide, protect, but also cherish every memory they create as they fight to reclaim the surface...

Now that I think about it, it makes sense for all three of them to be in the same place because they fell at the same time so their trajectories are probably very similar. Alice talked about yellow eyes (when referring to one of the sleeping princesses) and the twins dont have yellow eyes, but Siren has yellow eyes so it could be Siren. And the other could be the twins, because they're a singular entity. About Liberalio being the twins merged into one, it could be possible, but then who is the other sleeping princess ? Random Nikke or not, I'm sure it will be revealed at some point because they didnt show those two in the story for nothing I think

Anyone who is dead/heavily incapacitated is referred to as a "sleeping princess" by Alice. She referred to some other Nikkes in the Ark during her bond story as sleeping princesses.

10:30 There is a part of the story that is being left out. When we talk to her in chapter 30, she said that the people who experimented on her had managed to steal her coffin and had removed her helmet. However, she only wore her helmet after she was kicked out of the ark. Meaning she had another run in with humans during her quest to fix Cinderella.

The Pilgrim tales are very layered, just one before the other. First was Dorothy and how she is the way she is today, Overzone. Then before humanity's retreat to the Ark, Dorothy's Goddess squad led to Anachiro's encounter, Red Ash. And then now we took a look at Anachiro that happens to be Cinderella, and the supposed 2nd gen Goddess Squad. Old Tales.

9:00 This might just be a translation difference due to localization, but in the Japanese dialogue I think Abe says something more along the lines of "(We) Succeeded! Cinderella! (We/You) actually did it! It wasn't all for naught! Thank goodness". It subtly changes the context of why Abe cries, adding more impact imo. Not to mention the "I did it" in the English version felt a little out of place. Another point. I used "it wasn't all for naught" for "何も出来なかった訳じゃない” which would literally translate to "It isn't that we couldn't do anything". Note the statement COULD imply that they were failures since they may not have accomplished anything, BUT it doesn't actually state anything of the sort. She's not happy because they aren't failures, she's happy that "they actually did it". Just how I would interpret it. Unfortunately I don't understand Korean so I can't understand directly from the source, but I think stuff like this can really change how people feel about the story in subtle ways. Almost made me cry in the JP version, but in the EN version I was like wat. I really liked your analysis btw.

I'm amazed that shift up was able to pull this event together so well. Cinderella is obviously the main focus, and we got two story modes for her, but there were just enough scraps put together to tell Abe's story and make it just as compelling. Cinderella suffered so much through her tail, but she at least got to "die" believing that she made a difference. Abe suffered for years, failing to put her friend back together, failing to find help, nearly getting herself killed, believing it was all for nothing, and losing so much of herself. Tragic isn't doing this story justice.

The more we understand about other nikkes the more we know why they are called pilgrims or rather obsolete nikkes that fought against the raptures for years still fighting outside the ark, that show how much they suffer during their time in the surface, but this one hits hard throughout the entire events.

I just realized that Abe's Jacket/Coat is the same one as her Jacket as Grave (NPC ver.) except for the colors are black and red instead of white. I don't know if it's the same exact Jacket just turned black over the years or she got a new one after the events of Old Tales. Ngl I prefer the way Abe's voice in the JP Dub you actually feel like her voice was damaged unlike in the EN dub which still feels normal you don't really hear the "damaged" in her voice and because of that JP simply hits harder in the feels when you hear JP Abe struggling. No offense to the EN VAs btw.

As someone whose only on chaoter 20 i was confused as to why Grave and cinderellas storybwas basically untold.😅😅 i was surprised to learn at the end of this events story that abe basically became grave but wanted the in between of all those time jumps. 1:35 "she could have sought refuge at ark" accept she states that the humans in the ark isn't communicating, kinda hard to enter seeing they did seal themselves inside. The number bord thing kinda tells me that their isn't a continuous creation of raptures anymore, most likely the one Cinderella fought on the space station was the one responsible for the production of the raptures, but with Cinderella's last attack severing the connection between the space station and the earth surface the newly created raptures can't be sent to the earth surface, thus the heritics are searching for queen's to restart the manufacturing process on earth for some reason or the queen's they have found can't build new ones so they keep searching for the queen who can or attempting to build a new queen who can? Possibly with Lizbeth's head as the head of this queen? - might have spelled her name wrong. Kinda like a insect queen and her worker drones - that's the idea I got might just be me spit balling some ideas I got while going to the bathroom following the watching of the video.

They will probably be the next key character McGuffins of the Story once the localized war between Counters and two of the Four Beasts Heretics in the Crystal region is finalized. Perhaps the Commander estimates there's a chance of working something out with those heretics for a while, nothing super Substantial, but perhaps a "We don't bother each other unless one really wants a big favor of the other" deal, where the Four Beasts agree to limit their actions against Counters and the Ark, in return for an Upfront package of Information on Nihilister's combat specs/performance (GL for those four to find and breach Eden for her though, SKK surely will hold that info back) and intel about Chatterbox's potential weaknesses (Either High Firepower above what his Body durability and self healing can resist or enough Dakka from Anti-Rapture weaponry to blow his head off the body and throw it away before the body can try to reattach it)

All the love for Cindi and best mom Abe. That last act of the story destroyed me. Abe slowly losing her mind, forgetting about Hansel, Gretel and Siren, even using her own parts to fix Cinderella. She sacrificed herself, to save Cinderella. She may still be here as Grave, but Abe died a long time ago. So it makes be absolutely happy, that probably one of the last memories Abe made with her conscious still in tact, that Cindi did in fact defeat the raptures, even if only temporarly. I beg that Abe "died" happily, thinking that their failed story had a happy ending. Now it's on Grave to actually make this a happy ending.

The event story was so immersive to the point I think I'm more use to abe than grave and I am f**king pissed that abe is gone becuz of those a-hole. Grave is cool but I guess I'm more of a scientist guy I think abe's case can also be consider as mind switch cuz the process is basically nimph erasing memory that cause mental instability so it deletes that creating a hole in memory leading to a switch in personality. It's just in Abe case this procedure was carried out manually by those researcher (from Missiles I assume) by searching and extracting info like deleting files on a computer

Do we ever figure out the nikkes in the northern base in the tanks with ludmilla and her squad? Maybe they were old tales? I don't think we ever really get a description outside of Alice saying they will wake up at some point and they're "sleeping" for now. Feel like that plot point hasn't been touched on in a very long time. Also sirens kotodama being a prototype to maidens got me big thinking. We already know elysian has dabbled with grimms models seeing as how rapi and redhood had their cores fused. Now maiden having a new and improved kotodama. Many questions. Not many answers.

The story was great, can't wait to see what they have instore for the 3rd anniversary. Although so many disagree with me, I do believe in the theory of Siren and one of the twins being found by Ludmilla. Why keep such damaged Nikkes in a stasis chamber? And Alice calling them princess blue hair and yellow eyes. I do believe they left a door open there like they did for The Last Kingdom. Maybe a 2.5 anniversary event will shed some light on it.

Grave is the designer and sole person who once KNEW how those components were made, as the VTC lab used for their development was overrun and destroyed by Raptures (And likely Oswald's orders to ERASE all data of Old Tales implies they would, if possible, go the extra mile of demolishing the emergency Bunker facilities as well). And Grave has long since forgotten so much to need to relearn from scratch how to do her job and get Cinderella back to combat capacity status. The Original components are likely lost tech by most means, unless Cinderella's remaining 2% corrupted NIMPH hold some data of her body still, and it is questionable how likely it is for current Human tech to be able to try prying it open for info without risking causing a Corruption relapse. Even with the likely state of having Mass Production parts in her body, Cinderella SOLO CURBSTOMPED BEHEMOTH, so either the replaced parts were not combat essential (perhaps Life support necessary, but i doubt it), or her specs are THAT good that thanks to the lasting Heretic induced enhancements to durability and regeneration, Cindy is still way above what any Human faction can deal with.

Guys, I want to play the story but I heard theres a level cap at 160 and I need 4 copies of a full squad of nikkes to level higher. Am I able to play the entirety of the story at level 160?

Hmm... It's gonna be hard. I don't think you can get the entire story if you still stuck with level 160 Wall. But that's why SHIFT UP will always give us a Free SSR Characters from Half & Anniversary Event. We got Rei as Free SSR Unit at Half Anniversary. Snow White Innocent Days at 1 Year Anniversary. Kilo at 1.5 Anniversary. And Rapunzel Pure Grace at 2nd Anniversary. Even if you're too lazy on normal days, I guess as long as you really active on Half & Anniversary Event, you still can surpass lvl 160 Wall. Plus don't forget, even if your luck is really bad, but for 200 Pulls, you can get a Free copy of 1 SSR. We called it "Mileage Ticket", which you can Save until the Unit you really want showed up in the Banner. FYI, I get Anis Summer and Crown via Mileage Ticket (My luck is indeed really bad).

I NEED Siren on my roster. NOW 😅. This event has tied Nikke with PGR for me. Both tell amazing stories. Sadly for me i feel PGR latest chapters have been nothing but glorified character highlighting for the gacha. But nothing ive played has come close to the gameplay of pgr. U think Nikkes storytelling overall is better though and the gameplay is so addicting. Like insaid this event made this game one of my favs and but your channel was also a MJOR factor. So glad i seached "nikke lore" 🎉

This story is the best story. I really love it and how hard they work. Still I know it going to be tough that one of them working for the Queen and others are in that building on the early chapter but the stories that we watch, play and our emotions really hit the mind, body and soul. Cinderella always will be Beautiful and one day I really hope Abe/Grave can regain her memories one day because I had a feeling that something worst can happening. Excellent video.
