@Daniel Nelson yes, any time a slab is freshly milled, it’s green and not ready to be used. I am a live edge slab supplier and almost exclusively sell kiln dried slabs. I was just wondering how they sell their inventory. Green? Air dried, kiln dried?

Pretty cool set up, guys. Word of advice... get some eye protection and save yourself from potentially losing an eye! Not worth the risk for just $5 of safety glasses.

You have to paint over the ends to hold in the leftover moisture and sand it down when it drys

Тож думал такую рамку для пилы они есть в продаже но на длинную шину стоит не мало мысля пришла просверлить по краям отверстия в шине и пару штырей с резьбой гайками зажать потом на шину брусочки на желаемую толщину распила сверху на брусочки доску или палоску фанеры чтоб по плоскости гонять и готово .

You could block up the waste cuts into firewood. It might yield $10 - $20 (maybe even 30 for the big one). Unless your already doing that for your own stock

Definitely not done in an hour of work. A day's work maybe. I had an arborist come recently and take down a problem tree that hung over my house. His crew made $1400 for about an hour's work. That's good money in anyone's book. I could have taken the tree down myself but if the shtf I would have done tens of thousands of dollars of damage to my house. He has insurance to cover it and that's what I payed him for.

You can't pay for experience, that's earned. One guy came to the arborist company saying he new how to cut trees. The guy fell off the the tree and ended up paralyzed. He didn't know anything. You need experience rigging, you need experience cutting Angles, you need experience knowing when to and when not to keep revving the engine on a cut, you got to know your knots,you got to know how to check your equipment, you got to know how to Sharpen your chainsaw..all this so you don't kill yourself..

I have a g660 for about a year. The chain tensioner sucks. I made a shim to tighten the tolerances to fix it. I run a 36 and 25 inch bars on it. It's a harbor freight stihl. So far I'm happy with it

They pay for themselves, I had mine for about a year then popped the cylinder from using cheap 2 stroke oil. If you treat them nice they're worth it.

Where do you come up with these prices? I would suggest there are many more costs that would need to come out of the sale price as well, the ladder, the Alaska mill, transportation to the buyer, store front costs, fuel chains etc

Вот иной раз и возникает вопрос «а имеет ли смысл переплачивать за дорогой брендовый инструмент?» Хускварна, штиль, и тд и тп, цены которых достигают тысячи долларов - чем лучше? Если что за 300, что за 3000$ со своей задачей справляется на 100%
