John Randle's quote about driving down a street and then getting sideswiped fits this song and the 1998 Vikings perfectly
@GregoryAlanBaileygamereviews2 жыл бұрын
The 90's Vikings were a magical team. They were a team filled with fighters. The NFC in the 90's was extremely tough. The Cowboys, Packers, and 49ers all had the money and the talent. The Packers went 1-9 in the Metrodome in the 90's, it didn't matter what the Packers record was, that crowd gave those guys energy that elevated their play above the talent level they had. John Randle was undrafted, only 6'1" and ended up becoming a hall of famer, he poured everything he had into the Vikings.

I am a Bronco Fan and I remember how elated and relieved I felt when we finally won a Super Bowl in 97. After all the painful superbowl experiences, winning that one (and the next one) was sweet. At the same time it changed the whole dynamic associated with being a Bronco fan back then. We were no longer the down trodden team that couldn't win the big one; chokers. The "us against the world" feeling was gone. I would never trade winning those 2 SB wins for anything but I miss that feeling.

That's kind of how I feel,when Football season ends. Really on any level,HS,College and of course the NFL.... with 14 weeks in the books,lots of football to still be played,lots of play-off berths to still be determined and Division winners as well,but some teams play-off hopes took a serious Blow yesterday,like the Browns,49ers,Dolphins,and of course some teams have been out of it for a while and soon will be wrapping up their seasons as we approach mid-December and only 3 weeks to go in the regular season. This past Saturday in College Football represented the Final Saturday and onto the bowl season.. I'm a fan of other sports,but am always the saddest when Football season ends. Maybe cuz there's only 1 game a week and unlike other sports in football the off season is actually longer than the season and it's winter,my least favorite season..

I don't see how a team can go 15-1, score 556 regular season points, a rookie wide receiver go wild and score 17 touchdowns that season, their stout offense whip the league, their Purple People Eaters defense do greater than ever, break multiple records that are still held to this day, and it wasn't their season. Robert Griffith dropped that interception of Chris Chandler, Cunningham nearly hitting Moss for the OT touchdown, etc. I am still in awe and pure shock how the 1998 Vikings didn't get the job done. 2012, 2019 and 2023. Like a knife through my chest. Today is also the 8 year anniversary of the third worst night of my life. (February 3, 2013). It was so sad knowing guys like Willis, Ginn, Staley, Gore, Moss, and even Alex Smith though he was a backup weren't gonna get a ring. If I had one wish, it would be to go back to Superbowl XLVII and tell Kaepernick to give it to Moss, or give it to Ginn. I loved the 2019 49ers squad sure. But the 2012 one man. I lived and breathed that team, and I was even in awe whether it was beating the Patriots in Gillette, Colin Kaepernick running over the Packers, and the 17 point comeback over the Falcons. I was so sure that 2012 was gonna be our year. But unfortunately, it wasn't mean to be. And now we just lost Super Bowl 58.
