B.A.P were a breath of fresh air when they Debuted and still today it’s one of the best . Will never forgive that horrible company TS for the way they mis treated them they deserved so much better. If they had been with any other company they would have been right there at the top with the juniors that came after them . But we still have there Music and the memories of seeing them live the two best concerts I’ve ever been to . And as the fan favourite song says Forever with you . Hope you enjoy you week with them I know us forever baby’s will

I never even heard about their company till people started to mention it here in the comments, it will be interesting to see the reasons, I hear they just screwed up and dropped the bag

@@Killdeer25Thanks so much for reacting to B.A.P, they are an ult for me & always will be, but thankfully they've been free from TS for years now... But TS didn't just drop the bag, they were legitimately horrible to every artist/group under them, to the point that every single artist/group took them to court cuz they were mistreated, from not being paid to emotional/verbal abuse, to unsafe living conditions, not feeding & most of the time these were literal children in this situation, TS is the devil, thankfully contract law is better now around idols & companies, but the fact they were to keep signing ppl after everything hit the fan was ridiculous...

2012 debuts were something! From EXO to BAP to NU'EST to Btob to other underrated male groups... this was a time when ambitious songs still had an idea of offering a standout hook in whatever music style they offered.

for real! I might have to agree, although I will have to wait to say anything about Nu'est

They came out swinging, and punched me in the face.😂 This is absolutely one of my all time favourite debuts and one of my all time favourite groups. Good to see they made a good first impression on you too, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the other songs.☺ You can hear the fans doing the fan chants in the background, but another part of the BAP fanchants is the whistles you hear throughout the song, just in case you get confused when you watch other performances by them. Others have probably mentioned it already, but I thought I would point it out, since you've heard them for the first time now.😅

Honestly rewatching this with you I have one thing to say. I miss the time kpop groups ACTUALLY sang live in these stages. Really don't see that nowadays. This is one of the best debuts ever in my opinion. Not only this particular song but also because BAP really brought something unique to the kpop scene. They talked about uncomfortable themes and the passion was crazy. And they really did all that with the worst possible lego hair in existence.😂
@Killdeer256 ай бұрын
I agree, there is a few that I have notice that you can tell still sing live sometimes, very few and far between, and now some are going viral because they can't! this is top three or four debuts for me! honestly their sound and imagery is super unique as well!

@@aligensa early 10s was a cringy era in general for most kpop but for other reasons in my opinion. i don't really care about concepts personally in kpop, i only care about the music and the lyrics. i personally don't find their concepts cringy, or their styling (except their debut era OBVIOUSLY 🤣) but then again i don't really find it important when i listen to music. i feel like when groups come from a poor company like ts who didn't even pay artists or staff, the expectations are lower because they don't have the budget for more quality videos, editing and styling like other groups from bigger companies, so it plays a big role.

Oh man! My work got so busy that I completely lost track of time on when this was happening!!! I'm gonna do my very best not to overload on info on them since we have a whole week 😂 Zelo, who was 15 at the time, is the one doing the fast rap and between this and his rap in Power people were calling that type of rapping LTE rap. Also such a throwback for me to when Zelo was shorter than Yongguk, the leader and deep voiced rapper at the beginning. The main vocalist is Daehyun, my baby and bias wrecker I would defend him with my life he must be protected, and yes he is so good! He actually joined the group last and only trained for a few month before debut. When he joined he ended up being placed as the main vocal and therefore Youngjae, the other vocalist with the most lines- his vocal is a bit thinner than Daehyun's, was pushed down to lead vocal nominally. Daehyun has talked about this and how worried he was about joining the group so late coupled with the fact that he basically took Youngjae's position. But Youngjae was incredibly nice to Daehyun showing him around Seoul since Daehyun was from Busan and didn't know the city at all and they ended up becoming best friends. In terms of the song- this was definitely different from what had been coming out. Generally the debut's of boy groups before this time were more 'flower boy' esque or at least softer image (think SHINee, B1A4) with some exceptions for like 'sexy' which I wouldn't call this. B.A.P was really at the forefront bringing this strong rock/hip-hop socially aware music into the more mainstream kpop scene. I would definitely say Warrior is one of best debut's for boy groups probably in the top 3 of boy groups I follow. The lyrics to this song are also really good and for a debut do a really good job of setting the stage for lyrically and thematic what Youngguk, who wrote basically all their lyrics, would focus on moving forward with their stuff! It's really so nice to see someone come into them completely blind because it let's me remember how it felt when I first found them and then waited for all their comebacks.
@Killdeer256 ай бұрын
hey nope! overload as much as you want! I love it! sorry its taken a few days to respond, things on my end also kind of blew up as well! Zelo might be the best 15 year old rapper ever haha! Daehyun is a solid, solid very solid vocal. he has a ton of power and control!
@Killdeer256 ай бұрын
there is a form of rapping that is known as chopping, and that's what Zelo sounded like in that rap and honestly that is my favorite form of rap. I am a little bit confused, I have heard they were the biggest group before EXO and BTS but then there is BigBang, were they before or during or some small place in between those groups?
@Pamanda6666 ай бұрын
@@Killdeer25 ok so Big Bang debuted way before all those groups you mentioned I think 2007 so by 2012 when B.A.P and Exo debut they were already very established and huge. B.A.P and Exo debuted the same year and B.A.P actually won some end of the year awards against Exo which was a big deal for them to be the main competitors to a big 3 group. It was a TIME let me tell you and then we all got Busker Buskered at rookie of the year lmao. BTS debuted in 2013 and didn’t really get huge until around 2014/2015 which was also when B.A.P was on their hiatus. B.A.P was basically poised to become big right when they sued TS and released 1004 (Angel). Also remember that multiple groups can be big at the same time and there can be a disparity between American, international, and domestic popularity especially in slightly older groups.

Yeah for me this is in my top 4 debuts, which are EXO, Shinee and NCT with the 7th Sense and this one. Four songs that couldn't be more different, but that perfectly introduced the talents, energy and concepts of each group. And 4 of my favorite songs of all time. They are all equal. I came to B.A.P for Jong Up when he was on Peak Time last year and he remains my bias but the second I heard that rap from Zelo I was fully in. Daehyun's vocals, Yongguk's deep voice, one of my favorite dance breaks ever. This song is too good. I will say their hair worked better in the mv, it at least looked like died blond hair, not these lego man wigs. 😆
@kristenblack60266 ай бұрын
Lol, went back to check out the mv right after this and I revise my statement about the hair. It was definitely lego man wigs but they were just better lit in the mv. 😂

@@Killdeer25 Those are not my favorite debuts because they're my favorite groups, they're my favorite groups in part because their debuts were so good. Zelo is crazy. He's also crazy tall. @@aligensa Oh there isn’t any group except RIIZE, ZB1 and NCT Wish whose debut I saw first. Everyone else I’ve gotten to know in completely random order often not even knowing which song was the debut. I just genuinely love those songs and think they are all cool debuts which is part of what made those groups my favourites. To date EXO remains the only group in my life that I don’t dislike a single song in their entire discography. Even the ones I like least I still enjoy. For me they are consistent. Their debut album is one of my favourites and every album has songs that I consider to be in my all time greatest songs. I suppose at some point they might have a song or album that I just don’t care for but it hasn’t happened yet. I definitely agree SM groups seem to get better. I wonder if it is because the senior groups have set a good example. I mean Kangta and BoA still release albums. TVXQ and SuJu keep reinventing themselves so they all see that it’s possible to do that and have career longevity. And SM isn’t perfect but they don’t just treat their groups like they are disposable. They do seem to plan for longevity too. They use the military eras of groups to give members solo albums. They could be a lot worse in terms of their artists long term careers. They don’t just shove them out the door and replace them with the sparkly new group.

@@aligensa D.O’s whole album is so good. His solo music style is also not quite my usual taste but he’s become my go to for when I’m feeling sad. He’s very gentle and soothing. Popcorn is completely adorable and I loved the video for Mars too with him sending messages and receiving tiny letters. It’s just so wholesome and cute. The last song, about time I had on loop for couple of days when the album came out. I’ll check out those other songs. I like ENHYPEN a lot but only listen to the sporadically and I’m sure I’ve never checked out E’Last before. My most recent song on loop is The Killa by TXT and I also spent a workday listening to &Team and I like them a lot. I haven’t seen any of their videos yet. I understand they have a werewolf concept which doesn’t interest me that much but I’ll probably check them out anyway since the songs were good.
