I'm glad you showed us how bad that pipe was made. I looked at getting one. Because it is a gorgeous looking pipe. Too bad it smoked awful!! That chamber is way too small for me to enjoy and smoking burning paper is not for me either. Thanks for sharing.......Jose from Texas

Love the CAO flavored cigars. Been smoking them for nearly 20 years. I was so happy when they stayed making the pipe tobacco version. Eileen's Dreem is the best of them IMO. Man, glad you still with us after that accident. Thanks for the PSA on the Ahoy. They are listed for $107+ on SmokingPipes. That is crazy! Sorry your first briar was such a disappointment.

Thank you for mentioning my channel! It is interesting how different pipes out of the same series can be! Mine doesn't have all this issues and smokes perfectly fine! When I am back home I'll have to weight mine as I think it's a bit more heavier...and I will che k how deep the fulter gets into it! Just from the looks it seems my filter goes in deeper at the mouthpiece side (?). I never had a gurgle either and it doesn't get that hot. Have you tried the Dr.Pearl filters? They are usually more slim and often fit better? This might be worth a try... Anyway, thx for showing! For cigars I recomend to look for Maduros...my favorites! Cheers, Chris

That's crazy i cant even believe a pipe like that exists. If it was my pipe and i loved how it looks as much as you id send it to dagner and have them drill the bowl deeper and put a cob style shank in it and connect your stem that way so you can actually smoke it and enjoy it bc it sounds like you love the pipe and would smoke it if it didnt have those issues and the dagner guys are geniuses when it comes to pokers

Man i'm glad i never bought one of those now.. Ever since I started smoking a pipe I always thought it would be nice to get a Rattrays pipe since they were originally a Scottish brand from basically 30 miles up the road from me and the Ahoy always looked really cool to me. But with that gurgling issue I had the exact same issue with a ST Pats Peterson I bought at the start of the year, literally 2 minutes into a smoke it would gurgle.

@@CUKU93 yup gurgling is one of my pet peeves, if a pipe gurgles it sets on the shelf😄 it's just strange to me these companies obviously don't put a design through extensive testing before releasing. One bad experience a person has could lead to no further purchases. Have a great weekend! 😊👍💨

That was so weird that you posted that because I was just wondering a few minutes before I saw it if you tried those yet. The shape is nice, though not my style, it’s eye pleasing! That’s what i thought when I saw Chris showing it - the filter looked too dangerously close to the chamber😅, also the lack of shank and minimal amount ow wood results in tons of condensation in the plastic of the stem… yes, better keep it as a display model! Enjoy your smokes in better pipes! 😂 Regards
