Love how the cover turns the edge of her late husband's beautiful photo of mysterious Bryce Canyon into a breath of wind in the pattern of the weave of a Navaho rug. Looking forward to reading "Breathe". Lucky you to have these intimate conversations with your favorite author.

Thank you for this. I’ll definitely be watching it more than once. It’s really quite breathtaking. I especially appreciate watching her mind working as she is weaving her thoughts together and tying them back to “Breathe.” I’ve just ordered the book.

@@EricKarlAnderson I just finished Jack of Spades, I was LOVIING IT the last few pages were SO DISAPPOINTING,the ending was so ...terribly wrong...you LEARN NOTHING of the whole mystery with it,the whole story makes no sense with the ending. She rushed it,she just ...I hated it in the end.

What a treat.! I just finished her Wonderland Quartet, four of her earliest novels, plus two of her memoirs, and a collection of reviews she wrote, so finding this interview is timely indeed. She's such a diverse writer. Looking forward to reading Breathe. Thanks for this.

My father was a keen gardener, too. It is great you got to chat to one of your favorite authors. Breathe sounds interesting and the talk of native American gods and culture.

"Blonde" seems to me a novel written by someone as a favor to people who didn't want the death of Marilyn Monroe -the reality surrounding it ever coming out. I am surprised the Kennedy's didn't sue Oates for defamation. What an ugly scene in the net flix series "Blonde". I love the way her death was made to look like suicide and John F Kennedy a really bad person. I really don't like Oates version of Marilyn which doesn't fit the facts about her or anything about the Presidents character. A great author? No a corporate cover up author. Shame on you Joyce.
