Its comical that someone doesn't want android auto or apple car play considering google maps on Android auto is far better than the nav systems in cars these day. You never have to update and traffic and construction is automatically accounted for in your directions.

Just curious if he had a brand favorite? I have a '17 Sierra w/t (4.2" screen) that had no nav, Bluetooth or CD. I did the Alpine x110 SRA and there was no cutting at all and came w/ Maestro module and all harnesses. Only problem I had is that my truck has no HMI module but Crutchfield was very helpful with guiding me where to hook up factory b/u cam. Wouldn't the Alpine come close in price after factoring in cutting, harness, ant adt and mount needed for the double-din? Awesome video as always!

did you have to use a t harness to bypass amp to get sound? i bought a wire harness bypass that cost me 50 bucks but havent hooked it up just curious if yall did this to this truck the harness I looked up that u have in this video fits for the GMC 2016 1500. all i want is music out of the speaker. and the pac harness i think is either burt out or used even tho it is new but im gonna go ahead and order this harness and see if it works. just let me know what yall did to get sound thanks.

While Toyota has much better stock radios in the same model year even in the base model corolla. The non JBL system is nothing to ride home about but, there are sub 100 dollar component speakers and sub 60 dollar coaxial speakers that will do the world a difference in your music listening experience while you're on the road. However, a nice set of 250 dollar component speakers and 200 dollar coaxial speakers from sony with their 250 dollar 4 channel amp for sony will get you sound quality that rivals a premium sound system that you would find in luxury vehicles and you would argue that it sounds better than Bose.

I just had to purchase an install kit for the double din head unit. I am wanting to replace the four stock Bose 6.5 door speakers. Do you have any suggestions for which speakers are very good yet affordable? Thanks?

Welp let's hope this all makes sense: What really pisses me off about idiotic customers they come into an audio shop not knowing what they are buying and or wanting a navigation, audio system unit. Sometimes audio shop rip customers off by saying a bunch of bullshit or screw up their vehicle (Five Star car Audio does not screw up anyone's vehicle) employees of five Star car Audio will tell customers the rundown and the truth. if you do not know what you're buying and you want a audio upgrade then I suggest you don't buy auto audio at all. DO RESEARCH FIRST EVERYONE!
