I had never heard this before tonight. Absolutely charming. I laughed and chuckled through this story. 😂 I reminisced a bit and tears came up when he mentioned boys that had drowned because I too had a friend to drown on a pond in November of 1986. It was the 26th, the day before we had our Thanksgiving here in The United States. I was 14 and he died exactly 14 days before what would have been his 14th birthday 😢. This story reminded me of days gone by. I love it. ❤. Thank you so much for bringing back some nostalgia 💕.

Saving this one for Crimble. This is my favourite from Dylan Thomas. It brings back fond childhood memories of the snow of the late sixties, wearing Sox on your hands for snowball fights and otherwise later memories of desperately trying not to fall asleep whilst Listening to recordings of Dylan Thomas reciting his own poetry during A level lectures. I didn't quite appreciate his genius then.

Maybe I'm just more sensitive but the beginning of the story made me upset. I enjoy so many of your other videos, but for this one I had to give a thumbs down. If I ever caught children throwing snowballs at cats I would stop them. I can understand that kids like to have fun, but I do not not enjoy that it retold it with such light-heartedness that it came across as okay for children to terrorize the neighborhood cats.

It has not stopped me from listening to any of the other productions he makes and post or recommending his work to friends who have trouble sleeping. I appreciate the information in regards to the origin of the story, but that doesn't change that I did not enjoy it. I even waited to see where the story would go, but that part left me uneasy so I switched to the compilation of the train rides. I work with animals and I've seen a lot of things that were intended as innocent but had consequences. It's a matter close to my heart. I forgot to add. You made a good point. I do not like the story, but I do enjoy the artist. I revoked my thumbs down. With the way KZbin does the algorithms I would not want him to get penalized. I hear or creators reference that problem. Thank you for stating that point kindly.

If you actually listen to the story he says him and his friend was hunting lynx which were actually cats. 😂 They were pretending to be on a hunt and making snow balls for ammunition but the cats 🐈 were too smart for them so they never hurt anything in this story. This is a story about a boy and his friends just being boys during Christmas time and talking about his family. Stephen and most of us are animal lovers and would not condone the mistreatment of animals. With all due respect, before you leave this channel, I urge you to go back and re listen to the story to see no harm was done. Blessings and peace to you 🙏.
