No Sunroof is say more dangerous is you use sunroof for going out you are risking your life because when car is moving and you are in without seatbelt and car suddenly stops what will happen to the kids See bro You are ready to pay 1 lac extra for sunroof which risk life but feel expensive for paying 30k child seat

@maxup6521 Indians buy cars because it is not possible to fit sunroof on 2 wheelers. Any kind of safety is basically optional. As long as someone says car has 5 stars, you can drive it like a maniac, and as long as there is sunroof, you can let your aukat peep out of it. That's the code the majority of Indian car buyers live by.

Most needed video. Here in Canada and USA, child seat is a mandatory. But in India, its not practical everywhere. There are many people who buy old cars of 2-3 lakh. Even if they want to install child seats, their car seats may not be compatible with child seats. Again, if they want, might have to invest in new seats in which they can install child seats. Anyways, this video is knowledgeable for the parents who have new cars with this facility. And CARS24, if you have read this comment, it would be awesome if you can make a reel or a short video on which new cars are compatible with child seats. So, it can be easy for those who are planning to buy a new cars.

I have been using child safety car seats for my 7 year old daughter since she was 3 months old. Had to change the type of seat once she was three years old. It is always installed in my car and now she is habituated in seating there.

Awesome bhai, we need more awareness and educative videos as these to educate more us Indians as typical Indian mentality is wasting money on useless features of a car rather than investing in child seats, it's as much responsibility a duty of parents as it's for the govt and playing name blame gets nowhere. Many modern cars come with isofix child seat mounts but sadly I've seen anybody using them.

Great, informative, and educational video. Thanks, Cars24. Much needed. We bought one for our kid, but he never used it. He was okay for short durations but then he used to get pretty restless and that used to create panic for me as a driver. So either my wife used to get him to the passenger seat or she used to get in the back. We used to switch every once in a while though. The same was the case with my friend's daughter. My kid still managed but she never did. My son likes to sit in the front with a seat belt fastened. He's 3. I know this compromise in safety doesn't validate excuses but what else can we do in these situations.

Sure, some people gave me weird looks, wondering what I was gifting, but I firmly believe this is one of the best gifts you can give. It’s practical, thoughtful, and could literally be a lifesaver. I've been using an Isofix child car seat for my child since he was 3-4 months old. And it's permanently installed in my car, I only take it out just to wash it or when car goes for servicing otherwise never. And yes, I'm very proud of my decision. Thanks for this video. Not only India, I have seen many Indian parents ignoring this in USA, few things that I have heard against car seats that in a crash it will be difficult to get the baby out, baby might get seriously injured because of restraints etc which are mostly not true, one more thing that is needed is safe car seat installation. In India this has to be taken up as a free service by either fire brigade , or police or by Ambulance services. I have ben to few camps where medical response folks arranges free car seat installation training and help install it. Thanks for taking this up, awareness in India and car rental with car seat availability should be a norm its not a style statement its a safety requirement.

Thank you for creating awareness videos; they are truly needed. While developed countries like the United States, European nations, and even Canada mandate the use of safety seats for children in cars, it's perplexing why this isn't enforced in our own significant country, India. In 2024, with advancements in various fields, it's puzzling why we haven't implemented this crucial safety measure. I Love India ❤ 🇮🇳 but worried also that the law enforcement is weak.

I have been using a child seat since 6 years and he's used to it since we started very early. One of the challenges have faced using a car seat is that it turn my 3 seater back row of BMW 3 series to a 2 seater. It depends on the shape of the back seat row. For flat bench like back seat row (e.g. on my Swift), 3 people can be accommodated but if the back seat row is a little curved, it becomes very uncomfortable for the middle passenger. The only time we remove the car seat is when we have 5 passengers in the car.

I don't agree with the doctor that awareness is there. No car seller tells you about this. I didn't know indian cars had the mechanism to fix a child seat. I agree attitude may also be an issue. But main is awareness. I think this needs to come from the government to 1. Create awareness like your team is doing. 2. Ensure that all manufacturers have the set up necessary to include child seats. 3. From organisational level to make sure their salesman highlights that this car can have a mounted child seat. Maybe add that in their offers for a while to show people how useful it can be.
