You're both still young enough to want to experience different things and it certainly sounds a lot simpler than a caravan (or even a motorhome). Good luck and have a great time!

We have loved your videos for a long time now and fully understand your position. We used our caravan over August Bank Holiday and decided to put her to bed for the winter, we usually use ours all year round but we are also fed up. Interestingly our October holiday is the same dilemma and deciding to also book Turkey next year as well as Morocco in place of using the caravan. Luckily for us our caravan is older without finance so costs us storage, insurance and servicing, totalling only £600 per year. Honestly guys fully understand and exciting times ahead.

Hello. We have loved following your ventures, however also completely understand your next ones will be without your own van. We are currently in the new forest and noticed the van next to us is a modern tourer but a hired one (towed and connected up by the company). It’s from Paultons Caravan Hire. Maybe worth a look on their website as they do all the hard work for you so that you can ‘just pitch up!’. All the best. Debbie and Jez Jones

Absolutely understand. At times the caravan does feel like a chore, it's a lot of work setting up on site and also a lot of money sitting on the drive so you feel obligated to use it even if sometimes you'd maybe rather a nice hotel or to go abroad. You can always come back to it down the line, have fun with your new adventures.

Always enjoyed your 'Chit Chat' very natural and honest. Understand your reasons for finishing your caravan adventures at your stage in life, lots of other things to try, it's in your blood though so I'm sure your be camping again at some time in the future. Nice to meet you both briefly last year at Shotley (Black edition Vigo). Look forward to watching your Travels on film in the future. Best wishes. x

Thank you I think you have produced a Really thought provoked video. With the rose tinted spectacles removed. Caravaning is not a cheap holiday. It does amuse me when people go on about “ oh this sites only costs £15 a night ect. When they are sitting in a £30000 caravan being towed by a £20000 car and they are not new. Caravaning is the whole package. The towing the setting up . The walk to the shower block in the pouring rain. In my case the messing about is part of it. You are both young so enjoy your life’s as YOU want to. Keep the videos coming as I really enjoy the banter.

About time, was getting fed up with your caravan holiday vlogs 🤣 I know how much of a big decision this was and we have spoke many times about the pro’s and con’s of having a caravan. At this time this is the right decision for you both. Your vlogs over the years have made me smile, laugh and get to know you better, but most importantly it has given me great friends. We will speak soon, and remember, it be reet! Take care Aaron & Vicky

Hey 👋 Chit Chats👋 I understood every word and reason. We looked at the cost of leisure vehicles and campsite prices 🤔😱 I backed away. Even the micro campers are overpriced. I’m settling on some days out, seeing friends and family and taking a time out. Enjoy your time out 🥂🥂🥂🥂

totally respect your decision and your right with the setting up and emptying out etc , 2 days fly by then back on the road home again as if nothing happened , so an all inclusive in spain or turkey makes total sense , no filling water no waste no driving for hours , no rain! No setting up , we love you 2 and felt privileged to have met you the few times we have so we back whatever you do and will continue to follow you 👍😀 From mike & kirsty

I know exactly what your reasons are. We went through the same thought process. Our situation changed and we could not get away as much as when we started, and I found I started to find it a chore just to go for 2 nights. The costs of keeping a van with storage insurance and servicing soon add up and is not value for money if its not being used.

Thanks for everything you have done really enjoy looking at your antics, I really know what you mean it’s getting expensive caravanning we are now looking at staying at places close to Bury St Edmunds I.e Cl’s , camping wild as it’s cheaper also being a lorry driver it’s hard finishing early on a Friday to travel anywhere! Enjoy everything you do and go we only on this planet once, looking forward to seeing what you get up too on your holidays and weekend breaks. Stay safe you two and most of all enjoy 😉

Oh Aaron and Vicky! I wondered what you were going to say! Bless you two, you are absolutely lovely people and what you have decided is your decision for you. What's best for you! It would be boring if we all just plodded on doing the same things year in, year out so you just go and enjoy yourselves wherever and in whatever! It's your lives, live it!! Have really loved watching both of you this past couple of years, you're possibly a lot of people's favourites!! So natural and kind and sincere, we love ya!! Will you still be at the Nec in October?! We didn't get to chat a lot last time! I do hope so! Love to both of you, and Ronnie and Max too!! Take care xxx ❤

Good luck to you both some of your reasons for getting rid of caravan was our reasons for getting rid of ours in 2021 and we’ve done cottages hotels and statics and we’ve been married 16 years and we r having our first holiday abroad together in majorca

I sit hear watching this having had very similar conversations ourselves recently. Wr have two kids, now 8 and 9, and have LOVED caravaning for the last 8 years. We are seriously considering selling ours to enjoy another style of holiday until the kids are older and we buy a van again. The only thing stopping us is looking back at all the life experiences we have had in the van eh9ch I am not sure we would have had without. Its such a hard decision and I am really interested to see how it works out for you. Wishing you both all the very best.

Yes it's turning into an expensive way to holiday nowadays. We vary our Holiday's but we do spend a lot of time in caravan (luckily it has no finance) - we also take non caravan holidays, we were in Paris back in June, we like doing city breaks, looking forward to next year we are on a Norwegian Fiords cruise in May & possibly Canada or more likely a coach tour in Europe, Prague, Budapest etc,

Such a shame you're giving up. We've been caravanning for nearly 20 years and go away at least every couple of weeks but we're still discovering new places and haven't been to many areas at all yet. We have to plan coming home too but as we have cameras and good neighbours we've never not been able to get back on the drive. Good luck for the future 👍

Completely understand why you feel you want a change - we did our motorhome to death then had a few years off experiencing different holidays. Several years later now we have renewed enthusiasm with a caravan. (Did the "rustic" site just about finished you off ...?!)

Would you not consider an older van? Owned outright that is there as and when you fancy it? Still go see the world, but a cheap old van for when you get “the itch”.

Ah really sad to hear your news but completely understandable. We have always had a "main" holiday abroad self catering apartments and b and b's mainly in Greece. However we do love our current motorhome and our caravans etc for weekends to break up the treadmill of work. However to afford this we have older caravans, motorhomes etc without the bind of finance.....just a thought but don't want to throw a spanner in your thought processes 🤣🤣
