I saw the official trailer in 3D just before G-Force (I work at the cinema, had to sit in on the film). It looks stunning and I simply can't wait. It'll be the Christmas movie of the decade!

I remember reading the original book by Charles Dickens about 8 years ago. I forget how many times the story has been made into films. This is the first time in sixteen years that a new version of the film is coming to theaters, and I'm really looking forward to it! I believe the last version of the story that was in theaters was "The Muppet Christmas Carol"

Doesn't surprise me more than Bob Zemeckis hiring Jim Carrey to portray not just the main character, but also three others. Much in the same tradition that Zemeckis did with Tom Hanks in "The Polar Express," where he portrayed at least 5 characters.

yaknow at first I wasn't sure about Jim Carey playing Scrooge, was worried that his easily recognizable face in a live-action performance would take away from his acting. He's an amazing actor and it's great to see how he gets into different roles. This one will be a challenge on his more sublte acting abilities. Anybody can hunch over, run around and yell-bah-humbug. But it's the subtlty that makes scrooge a miserable/suffering mizer, rather than justa crotchety old man.

Actually I did HAVE to sit in on the film, it's my job to make sure people aren't pissing about in the screens. So excuse me for thinking that the best part of "G-Farce" was the trailers that were on before it. But that's not even the point. If you read the message properly, I was saying how good THIS movie looks.
