Here in the West we don't understand what $100 can buy in Pakistan. So here is a list I found that would actually cost a bit less than $100: You could buy 10 Kg basmati rice (Rs.150/kg) , 05 liters cooking oil (Rs.200/kg) , 5 liters milk (Rs.100 per liter) , 5 kg mix lentils (Rs.150 per kg) , 10 kg chicken (Rs.350 per kg) , 5 kg beef (Rs.650 per kg) , 5 soaps (Rs.20/pc) , 1 shampoo (Rs.200), 2 kg sugar (Rs.90 per kg), Tea Bags (Rs.350), Flour 20 kg (Rs.900), 10 kgs potatoes (Rs.35.kg), 5 kg tomatoes (Rs.35 per kg), 10 kg onions (Rs.30 per kg), 2 kg apples (Rs.200 per kg), 5 kg water melon (Rs.30 per kg), 12 banana (Rs.200 per dozen), 5 x 1.5 Liter Pepsi (Rs.80/pc), Lays Large x 5 Rs.50 each, Cheese Slices Rs.350, Bread x 2 Rs.100 each, Instant Mago Noodles 6 Pack Rs.150, Keptup Rs.180, Toothpaste Rs.60 each and you would still be left with Rs.1300 odd Rupee for 2 large Big Macs.

I bought new tree lights, a lot too many 😂 offft I thought, you can’t have too many fairy lights. Umm…yes you can! I thought of Mr Chaudary’s reaction if he saw them & some of our decorations. With his usual, amazing reactions, they never fail to warm my heart 🥰 I know Mr Chaudary & Mr Shar didn’t get the opportunity to go to school, as a result they of course can’t read or write 😢that saddens and frustrates me. I can tell they’re both very intelligent men, one of my teaching specialisms is teaching reading & writing to older children and some adults. I’d LOVE to do that for them. The frustrating part is that it’s no use to them to know English letters & words. I can imagine Mr Shir reading books in semi precious stones, mr Chaudary reading encyclopaedias. I’d love to see Mr Tahoe reading books on herbal medicine, I can’t comment about his level of schooling or mr….I’m hopeless remembering names and I’ve forgotten his, my apologies.

Merry Christmas 🎄 I’m 🇬🇧 and to us it’s a day to spend time with family and friends, to buy them nice gifts. We aren’t religious at all, completely atheist. But our relatives in Ukraine are Christians, they don’t celebrate Christmas until January 6th. I once celebrated both when we had family visit, it was very confusing for months, two big events in an ordinary year is odd. 😂 I can’t recommend it 🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄🎄
