Honestly, I feel bad for Bev. Sure, she wasn't the greatest "sister," but let's be real here. Most of what went down was because of her Mom. She knew she can't sing( not a lot of ppl know that), she actually did like Luke tho, and I saw that smile on the day of her performance when she asked Katie for her opinion on the dress. Then she has to face the whole world and probably was known as the "girl who can't sing" or "fake."

Yeah, this is probably the only Cinderella movie where I actually felt bad for the stepsister. Anything bad she did was really her mom's doing. She showed signs of being a decent human, and then this moment had to have been utterly humiliating. The punishment did not fit the crime.

The ending was literally her coming to the realisation that her mum was awful. She wasn't ever really horrible to Katie, and sometimes we've got to remember these are teenage characters who adore their parents and will do anything to please them

I agree about the singing thing being her mom's doing and ofc her whole influence on her about the way she treated Katie but let's also be real that it's not like she couldn't actually understand that what she was doing was wrong, both about stealing Katie's dreams and deceiving Luke - there are scenes that prove this, that she was feeling bad about it and when she acknowledged that Katie is talented and she could leave them all behind if she wanted to. And as for Luke she could clearly see that he was actually interested in Katie not her so that should've been enough to make her step back at least in that direction (the one where she was pursuing a relationship with him) because what would happen really, if Katie would just stop being there someday and she wouldn't have someone helping her keeping his interest? Because as we also saw from that date she was literally repeating everything Katie was telling her and that's why the date went so well, he was connecting with Katie not her (I mean just like in the first time he kissed her where she was passing off Katie's lyrics as her own). So even if it was sad that she had to face the consequences and all the humiliation at the concert, she still deserved it in a way because she could've put an end to it but she didn't and yes you could say that it's not easy to stand up to toxic narcissistic parents but she was also enjoying it a little too like the fame and the success and the compliments, you could tell so she kinda deserved it as well for stealing Katie's ''identity''.

I think this is the only Cinderella Story movie where one of the step kids aren't completely horrible to the actress who plays the Cinderella role. I think that's really cool. As I was watching this movie I kind of knew that Victor wasn't going to be so horrible towards Katie, the way he looked at her when she was giving Bev the lyrics through a headset, he didn't look at all evil. Cool movie, I'm not sure if it's as good as the first movie A Cinderella Story with Hilary Duff playing Sam Montgomery as the Cinderella role but it's still a cool fun movie.

Hilary Duff did an amazing job with the first Cinderella Story back then, Selena Gomez was fantastic in the second film and Lucy Hall was extraordinary in the third and still love the Make You Believe song.

I think Bev’s mom didn’t give her enough credit. So she can’t sing. Sure. But that’s not the end all be all. She can dance, she’s beautiful, has a great sense of style, and above all else, she’s smart. She could have easily found her niche and succeeded if her mom didn’t make her doubt herself at every turn. I see her being a fashion designer, model, dancer, the possibilities are endless.

I’m guessing it’s because she was trying to live *her* dream vicariously through her daughter. She dreamt of being this superstar singer and when that failed, she needed her daughter to live out that dream for her, which was really selfish of her to do so.

@@jacobmichard1229 Well, I believe only the Hillary Duff one is by Disney. The other 11 are by different studios. They're all different movies, but based on the book, A Cinderella Story, by Leigh Dunlap. I think I've also seen that Not Cinderella's Type is a book too. But they all follow a similar story. The High Note is also in that group, as well as Wild Rose. DJ Cinderella was made in Peru I believe, but is available with English voice over. Teen Spirit is one I found a while back that was also based on the book. Then it's just the standards. A Cinderella Story, Another Cinderella Story, Once Upon A Song and If The Shoe Fits.
