Titles read: "A City of contrasts - STUTTGART".
Germany.
General view of Stuttgart. Street scenes show a policeman standing in a tower and directing traffic. We see the railway station, town hall and the old quarter, showing traditional buildings.
More shots of the buildings of the town, with good shots of modern buildings beside the older styles of architecture. Brief shot of indoor swimming pool.
Story ends abruptly - according to paperwork the missing section showed Stuttgart squares and parks followed by locals watching an English troupe of dancers in a club or restaurant.

It hurts a lot what German city have become after war. Before the war every single city in Germany was beautiful. Today there's almost nothing left. Hearts bleeding

Omg.. I have no words for this. Just a few hours ago, I was at the main station, where also the Königsstrasse is, a shopping street. It’s all so different… the houses were so cute! And those other buildings- that don’t exist anymore since 1945’. It somehow hurts, the town hall looked amazing, wayyy more then the one we’ve got today, which is compared to the old one pretty ugly. I’m so glad I got this in my recommended. The fact that I was just there today and imagined how it looked 90 years ago is just crazy. Thank you for this video! 💛🖤

Thank you for uploading!! This is very worth seeing. The "Tritschler" company shown in 0:47 still exists today on exactly this spot (but in a new building). While the Schocken Kaufhaus was demolished in the 60s and the Breuninger building during the war, the beautiful Tagblatt tower (1:18) and the Weissenhof restaurant (1:38) are still standing!

Thank you for this comment. I was walking often next to the Tagblatt tower and thought it’s alienated to the rest of the Stadtmitte view, but thanks to you I understand it’s importance.

There is still a part in the city center that survived the bombs. The "Bohnenviertel" is so beautiful, a must see in Stuttgart. Although no one knows it. I found houses must be at least 500 years old- its pure history hidden in the center of Stuttgart. The part that needs to be reconstructed is the area between Schillerplatz to Tübinger Strasse. Close to Eberhardtstrasse for some reason there is also a part of the the old town that survived the bombing terror. So it wouldnt even cost that much to rebuild the removed parts of the old town.

with what money? People needed housing, food, work. You think, the ones that bombed our cities also wanted to give the money to reconstruct nthem afterwards? No, the wanted to eliminate our history by plan. And they succeeded. We are a people without history now.
