The hotel is old and bad smell of dampness in the rooms I am staying in the premium room recently renovated as I have been told but they showed the me old one as well same smell bad one

Hello there. Quite unfortunate you got a rather unpleasant room. The hotel is definitely old, plus it’s always packed with guests, so it’s hard to get a room to our preference. And I’m speaking to my experience here when I stayed there 😔(but luckily, I got what I want at that time)

@@travelwithdesign they upgraded me to the Kasara lounge room on the 9th floor that was okay Basically if you are staying in the rooms above the lobby Area those have no smell as there is no wooden ceiling in that area so no smell of dampness in rooms that what one hotel employee told me

Thank you for a thorough review of Anantara Siam, always wanted to stay there since their “Four Seasons” days as we frequently stay at Grand Hyatt & St. Regis next door. Definitely a classic hotel with a resort vibe 👍👍

Hi, thank you for the appreciation 😄 Yes indeed a “classic”, it is more like “the go-to” luxury hotel in Bangkok (akin to how Grand Hyatt and Kempinski is to Jakarta). To me, Grand Hyatt Bangkok doesn’t have a really strong character and outdated as well (as opposed to Anantara, which similarly old, but still very distinctive)

Halo 😄 Wah saya baru tahu ada hotel Dusit Thani (katanya lahan skrg akan dibuat macam central park gt). Iya skrg kesini2 hotel2 Bangkok lebih yg modern dan terkesan tanpa karakter . Sebenarnya saya jg memikirkan utk stay di Sukhothai (skrg ini juga masih tetap populer). Tapi stlh dibandingkan dgn Anantara, sptnya unsur budayanya jauh lebiu kental di Anantara.
