PCGS, NGC, and ANACS is the correct order for the top 3 TPGC. However, that is limited to how much they go for at an auction house, like Great Collections. The graders at those 3 companies are interchangeable and can work at any of the other companies. Nobody has a problem w/how any of them grade coins.

Cool Ive got lots of Morgan dollars

ANACS holders have 2 things going for them that NGC and PCGS do not have. 1. You can see the dates/grades by looking down, since the tops are slanted. 2. They stand up on their own.

I 100% agree with ANACS.

ANACS and PCGS "scratch and dent" Morgans are what Dansco albums are made for.

Subscribed, really curious to know what you paid for "details" coins? I'm a huge fan of ANACS for value. The looks really grown on me too. Thanks for sharing man, enjoy the graded morgans!

Thanks for subscribing. I honestly don’t remember what I paid for the collection. If I remember correctly it was over $800 less than $1,000.

Wonderful tray of fat boys!! I always make time for Morgan's. Really enjoying your videos. I've been collecting (albeit off and on) for over 40 years.. I have mixed opinions on the over used term "cleaned", preface this with the fact I have never "cleaned" a coin other than with soap and water to remove mud/dirt. Of course, overly vigorous scubbing can damage a coin, anything that puts a chrome like finish is terrible and should never be done. With that said if a cleaning does none of that but does improve luster by removing haze shouldn't be a problem as tpgs say. These groups now have it embedded in collectors minds that a cleaned coin is pretty much worthless which is a farce. If a coin was cleaned so harshly that it has swirls, scratches, chrome like shine..yeah it's not a great collectable..but if a outside 3rd party has to put it under a spectrometer to determine its been cleaned...come on, I as a collector don't care if I can't see it...many coins coming back from grading as "cleaned" are this, no one can see even scoped they were cleaned. It's gotten out of hand 😊

It's enough to make you sick when you see beautiful coins like Morgan dollars and then see that a previous owner harshly cleaned them or are otherwise damaged. Luckily, only one coin had their value seriously impaired--the 1893-P. The slabbing cost more than the value of most of the other Morgans.
