As I was in the military in 1965, when "Hogan's Heroes" started & it being only 20 years after WWII, as the narrator stated, I thought that the public would force the show off the air! I was wrong & it became one of the many "mid-sixties" hits, that appear in syndication, to this day! "Hogan's Heroes" ensemble cast, including Crane, really made the show a hit! R.I.P. Bob!

Kind of glossed over the strange sexual tastes of bob crane. The "friend" with the sony equipment and bob were filming sex with the girls they picked up. They filmed many sex scenes and at one point had lots of films. The murder was thought to be a result of some of the movies they made and some of the people they were involved with. There was a very seedy side to bob crane. I hope his kids were able to get past all that stuff.

His son by his second wife was selling access to dear old dad's sex videos online until that was shut down. It must have been his way of striking back. His chidren must have been very ashamed of Bob.

WE KNOW! We've known since 1978, and some people have known much longer! And, according to his biographers, a friend of his in Scottsdale was helping him look for a therapist in Southern California who was skilled in treating sex addiction. His realization of his effects on his children spurred him to get help. He got killed instead. Ford, Young, and Groundwater. (2015). Bob Crane: The Definitive Biography

I find it a little odd and disconcerting (and completely unnecessary) that there's a computer aged picture of him in the thumbnail. Was his second sitcom _Second Starts_ set in a loft apartment? All I remember of it was that everybody came and went by way of a freight elevator. I thought it was called The Bob Crane Show..

Since he died at age 49, he didn't live long enough to have aged that much! Too bad!

I looked it up here on KZbin, that was indeed his show I remember. For some reason I only find it listed as _The Bob Crane Show._

I agree about the horrid thumbnail. It was called the Bob Crane show, Second Start was the working title I believe.

@@moonchildluvsbobcraneYes, but what does the age-enhanced photo have to do with the story? Unnecessary!
