I squealed just seconds before hearing "try not to squeal". LOL, instant fail on my part, but can ya blame me?! (Pomeranians are my fave, but any pupper, big or small, that has a lot of fluff comes in second.

I did fostering for these dogs for 15 years and I want to BEG you to please don't cut their hair, even trimming shouldn't be done except on the pads, maybe in the back legs when they get older so defecation is easier. The reason is, is that they have guard hairs, and they don't get regularly replaced. The guard hairs keep them clean. If you cut them, they get dirtier much easier. I could have a dog COVERED in mud, and once they dried out, they were reasonably clean. Also, I'm certain you already know this, but be very careful to get out all shampoo. A common mistake people make with these dogs is they leave in a TINY bit of shampoo, and 2-3 weeks later, they get a hotspot. That's shampoo you left behind. It's easy to do this with a Samoyed because their hair is just so fine.

40 years ago, after my hubby and I purchased our first home, I insisted on getting a dog "for protection." Thus we added Sambooka (aka Booka) to our household. He was a 10-week-old Samoyed puppy. He failed miserably at being a fierce protector. We got him a child's wading pool because he loved the water so much! He was (and still is) my furry soul-mate, and I welcome the day when we meet again at The Rainbow Bridge. He was super-smart, funny, independent, and loving. I miss him every single day. These puppies brought him back to me for a few minutes. Thanks for posting.

The greatest dog breed imo, it's not even close. The sweet temper of a golden, the long and beautiful coat, hypoallergenic, cute as a puppy and fully grown, they (usually) don't scream like lunatics, energy is manageable, they don't smell (the "wet dog" odor, no such thing)... there's literally nothing negative to say about the Samoyed, it's the perfect breed

My grandparents had a Sammy when I was a baby. When I would stay the night once in a while She would sleep under my crib with her paws crossed around one of the legs so she could feel me moving around if I woke up. It sounds kinda unreal and wishful thinking, but I happen to own a Samoyed and that’s exactly how they communicate. I feel they’re smart in a “I need this,” way and dumb in a, “I want this” way. Mine will wait at the dog door and bark once a minute when it’s blocked and he needs to go out. I know my dog once waited 8 hours one day and didn’t poo inside (which he would’ve had every right to.” Any time his water runs out, he will come and get you and bark once, twice or three times with 30 seconds in between it. It’s very purposeful and when you get up he’ll lead you to what he needs you to do. On the other hand, he’s completely dumb off the lead. He walks with me great and he’s so friendly with children. But we’ve stopped at the same road every day and I always get him to sit. Yet he still doesn’t know the routine and will just keep walking if I don’t give him the command to sit. I don’t know if he just assumes I’m the one that knows what I’m doing so he doesn’t have to think? Or is he really that oblivious 😂

@@kohlinooractually... they are not that bad. Yes, you do brush a lot and they do shed. You have to accept that their floofy goodness will be spread everywhere and if you wear black or dark colors make sure you have plenty of lint rollers. BUT, they don't have oily coats so they don't get that "doggy" smell and their coats don't get dirty like some other breeds... most of the dirt brushes out. Honestly, if you brush them a bit every day you can keep their coats nice and unmatted and for me it was rather relaxing. Winston loved to get brushed. And since I did it every day it it wasn't terrible... but when they blow their coats, I won't lie. You do have to brush a lot or it will get matted. But I tell you this. The extra trouble was worth it. I can't even fully describe how wonderful and sweet their personality is. And how sweet and kind they are. I now have a corgi mix and I adore him so much and wouldn't trade my Fred for anything. But there is something ... extra... about Samoyeds. They are the unicorns of the canine world.

My Samoyed was named Cookie. She was gorgeous. Cookie would sit by the gate watching for the school bus each day. A large white fluffy dog gets alot of notice. She would sit as still as a statue. The kids on my daughters bus thought she wasnt real. We had her for 18 years before cancer got her. Twice she stopped intruders. 💖

Mayo is beyond adorable, he has a personality. I love how he checks if his jaw is still working after the happy hoodie is taken off. Too much. I own a purebred male miniature poodle. When I bathe him he starts making those grunts and trills because he's getting cold, chilly, I think that's why Mayo is trilling because he's cold after his bath. You can see him start to shiver, warming up his muscles. Very good boy for being so young.

Im sitting watching this with Valo, my 9 year old samoyed. We call him Dr. Nurse because he cares for EVERYONE. Loves all humans and wants nothing more than to say hi and kiss you. Im mentally ill and he knows me better than I do. He taught himself to do pressure therapy on my chest when i have anxiety attacks. I have bad balance and he helps me not fall on walks. I can go on and on about how he is an angel. I will say this though, my sister has bad allergies and she is sadly still very allergic around Valo.

Dogs really are too precious for this world. My own dog, a Great Pyrenees, saw how whenever she was sick we never leave her alone, so now when we’re sick or not feeling well (wether that be emotionally, physically or because of anxiety) she always lays down in our rooms with us, and this is because she prefers sleeping downstairs.

What a precious baby! 🥹 Our Samoyed Nikki was a derpy sweetheart that made us laugh constantly! Her favorite spot to nap was on a windowsill and it was quite a sight to see her gigantic self peacefully snoozing on a 4” wide perch like a cat was hilarious! We have no clue how she balanced herself, but she never rolled off. 😂 Good ol’ Nikki was an absolute treasure, especially our mom’s. I had two Samoyeds that were the most loving dogs, and I miss them like crazy. Now I am a renter and landlords charge a monthly fee here to have dogs. So seeing Mayo was a huge treat. I am a handspinner and still have balls of Samoyed fur that I've spun into yarn. I hope one day to have a home again, where I can have another Sam. They require socializing and brushing almost every day. And tons of love! Thank you for this video!

Such a precious puppy, it's clear Mayo loves to cuddle. He's well trained. I'd be sorely tempted to keep this ball of fluff all to myself. His little shake in the tub, precious.😊🥰

I LOVE Samoyed. My sister and her husband had one named King. He was so fluffy, cute and smart. When he would go to the groomer, he would come back with a pink bow on top of his head like Cindy Lou. Lol! He was sweet, gentle and loved people. Rest well my King in dog heaven.

Some friends had an amazing Samoyed. Fluffy cloud is the best description. He was a 100lb cumulus bundle of joy. Always happy, so friendly, never a growl or grump. Miss him.
