Very entertaining video, I do prefer you 5 axis machine but I understand that you need a machine to make parts for the five axis machine. Enjoy the drinking and thanks for making the video.

you are not working on iron ! Iron is not steel - you are talking about steel - steel - iron is something totally different from steel -

Really good job !!!! 👍 when you invert the bearing, you decrease the capacity of the machine for this axis....isn't it ? Your purpose with this machine is to permit everyone to mill all the metal part to create your great 5 axis cnc ...isn't it ?

That's it. Few people have machine tools that they can use as they like. When I think about it now, when I started making 5 axes, I wish I had bought a red machine first and remodeled it.

I need to start little before hoping to make thé great 5 axis. This is perfect for a start 🤩

Usually channels and videos featuring these machines are either an abject slaughter of the machines or a 500$ presentation of a 50$ tool but this actually shows some skill and intelligence behind what is shown in even if the speech-synth is🤐 If you haven't tried it I would recommend Naked Grouse for a cheap(ish) blended Whiskey that is a hell of a lot better than the 'whiskey' you're drinking(and Bulleit for bourbon)....

impressing progress! I dit not expect this machine can do this with easy modification.

If the stepper motor is decelerated with a timing belt and pulley to increase the torque, it will not step out even if the preload of each axis are increased, making the machine even stronger.

Do linear rails have the same rigidity issue as the rods with bushings? And it would seem that most of the rigidity is lost in the lead screw. nut
@a-cnc-f2 жыл бұрын
I think Liner guide model should be better. The ball bearings of liner guid are usually sitting in an R- or V-shaped groove instead of using a plain contact, from which some manufacturers are claiming thirteen times as much load capacity. Linear guides are also extremely accurate- errors are usually measured in the micrometers (μm) range. The addition of a preload into the guide can also increase accuracy and repeatability. Instead of having a small clearance between the track and the ball bearings, an interference fit is used. The shafts must be sized to support the load within an acceptable deflection tolerance too much weight and the shafts will bend, causing a positioning error. The bushing to shaft interface is also relatively loose, which can cause issues with accuracy and repeatability.

X axis, to make opossite bearings - why not just make them opposite, and put them from inside? Nothing to manual grind, just little harder to tighten screws. To check acuracy - dont test it on endmill - it could be bend - better try measure ER11 coupling.

Thanks for the advice. That's a good idea.

Great vid, I've seen some other vids on this machine but they weren't able to solve the issues like you did. If I don't find anything better, I'll probably get this machine and try your fixes. It may also help to add steel angle brackets to the aluminum frame joints. Looking forward to any further vids on cnc mills. The music you use is great.

Thank you for enjoying it. I'm hoping to do some other modification someday. But I have a lot of other things I want to do, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to. This might be useful for you. awesome-solution-workshop.teachable.com/private_pages/10175516?live_preview=true

@@a-cnc-f I also have a lot of other projects, but when I'm done some of those I'll likely get the 1310 mill and your stl files, thanks.

@@a-cnc-f By the way the ID of the 60t pulley (Item 9) in your parts list is 5mm, so you should change that to 8mm. At 10:49 it it shows the correct ID of 8mm.
