A collection of 343 old typewriters, calculators, mimeographs from 1780 to 2000s years

I will show a collection of 343 ol typewriters, calculators and mimegraphs.
There are devices from 1780 on, with many pieces who did the typewriters history.
You can also see the evolution of the typewriters.
You can activate your subtitles, there are more than 40 languages.
There are many old typewriters, Underwood, Remington, Olivetti, Royal, Triumph Adler, AEG, Everest Facit, Brother, Friden Gestetner, Frolio, Gundka, IBM, Invicta, Lagomarsino, Olympia, Optima, etc.
Also some beautiful pieces, an Aritmometer, a New Franklin, a mimeograph James Watt from 1780, a Polygraph from 1874 and other pieces.

Keeping track of the past technologies is interesting on so many levels. We acquire a greater appreciation for what we have today, beyond the tangible connection to these older technologies and the feeling of nostalgia for a time when we didn't even live through.

What a great collection and fabolous interest you have in these old/vintage historical mechanical wonders. Many interesting items you have - historically significant! Could comment on so many of these but can say i have a heart for the design elements in these machines and especially Olivetti's timeless enriching design. The visual language is unfortunately forgotten in so many consumer products - starting from the seventies and onwards -in my opinion. With exceptions of course. For me i like to collect out of nostalgia, historical interest of a time that made the foundation of our present time (reflecting my respect of hard honest working forefathers) and out of visual creative pleasing design. Noticed the practical joystick (first joystick?) element in the calculator mc 14c from 1949 (what else than Olivetti..), Divisumma as well from 1973 - long ahead of its time and i think copied by leading electronic design company B&O many years later if i remember correctly (telephone), also see you have the Remington Junior, wich i am trying to clean and restore. The first Remington portable - tho more like a mini-desktop version. A sweet curiosity i feel. So many interesting items in your collection - even the small calculator with a fan! (It seemed) . -actually my sailor brother bought two credit card calculators back from Japan in 1980 wich i used at school - remember i was so proud having these futuristic supercool wallet calculators. Strange i never seen any like them ever after... Again a ingenious design and craftmanship - think it was Sharp. At last i will mention that your "mystery" typewriter at the end was propably a Remington 150. Thank you for making the video and sharing your wonderful collection! 🙏🌞

Really many thanks for the identification of the Remington 150. It was many months I was searching for it. I have many Olivetti because I’m Italian. Most of the feelings you have on these old devices are the same I have. Me too I remember with nostalgia when I used these small calculators at school, or when I saw my father repairing them. But I’m not very good in repairing, (I was selling spare parts for Olivetti typewriters) and I’m not an expert like you. Your comments on this channel will be always welcome!

He conocido en éstos últimos 50 años , a personas que tienen relojes hermosos y de alta gama.Pero éste caballerito de unos 65 años de edad, se pasó para todo el Mundo . Más parece extraterrestre con sus máquinas. Son excepcionalmente increíbles .Fuera de serie . Algo nunca visto en todos los 74 años de vida que tengo . Lástima que no pueda darle a dicho señor, una estatuilla en oro , idéntica al Oscar , porque se lo daría inmediatamente . Qué locura de tantas reliquias e increíblemente conservadas .

日本ではタイプライターは普及しませんでしたが、謄写版とコンニャク版は普及しました、また計算機もあまり普及しませんでしたが、 算盤が普及していました、江戸時代の寺子屋という私塾では、読み、書き、算盤、が必修でした 私の父は財務省（大蔵省）に居ましたが、国家予算の計算は算盤でしたと聞いています、数十人が一斉に計算し1人でも間違えるとやり直し、全員の答が合えば合格です、 一番上手い方は読み上げをしたそうです、算盤は勘違いされますが、 暗算の答を算盤に移しているのです、ですから算盤の上手い方は暗算も上手いのです
