I must admit, I was so jazzed to have this "assignment" that a few things slipped by me: - the fact that the instrumental is the same as Stupes' Two Point Hospital song "Doctor Doctor" - the Open Mike gag double meaning with Mike being a person's name, hense why it takes place in the autopsy lab - the various OTHER degree jokes around the obtuse one. Whoops. Thankfully, I made up for those missed marks by including an extra credit reaction at the end. Thanks Professor!

Connors: Fossilized. Dr Curt Connors aka the guy who turned himself into a lizard/dinosaurian creature and became one of Spiderman's villains. Ustinov: Goofing off. Peter Ustinov was a British Actor and filmmaker, whom I first saw on The Muppet Show pretending to be an international robot diplomat amongst other hijinks. Robinson: Robotified. Lost in Space reference, the old rubbery arms and claws is the design of the original Robot. There's probably more, but those are the three I picked up on.

What I love most about Ian's reactions to both this and two point hospital is the losing his mind at all the puns and double meanings, pausing after every one with a hint of pain in his eyes, taking a moment to collect himself before commenting, and sometimes when no words come out it just becomes "PUNS" and I honestly think that's beautiful

Didn't see this mentioned yet: We in America usually just call it a "hose" instead of a "hosepipe" and would usually call a "hosepipe ban" a "watering ban". The joke being that no rain for three days is enough to cause drought and that people need to water their lawns in that time.

A collection of some details I noticed that I haven't seen anyone else point out yet, because Stupendium has no chill and goes hard with the details. - as good as the "big on inclusivity" line is, the line before about "scheming for the Ministry" is probably a reference to their previous song No One's Home. - the background gag of a certificate for Certificate Forgery with a 1rd Award, which was also in Doctor! Doctor! - Same for Dr. David D. Davidson, who was in Doctor! Doctor! - "We've taught the tautoligical". Tautolology means to say something twice but with different words, such as saying different things with the same meaning.

Only just got around to watching this, but I never actually listened to the end of the Two Point Campus one the day it dropped - I didn't catch the "That means you Ian" at the end until this. Lol! Their occassional references to you in their videos has become a fun thing to keep an eye out for. Onto the second song, I seriously feel the pale to lobster ratio issue though. I live in Florida, the sun is AWFUL here for so much of the summer. The second I walk outside I turn into a lobster myself, along with the rage of one. (No, really, you see those claws? Thats me when it's hot - it's miserable). Your reaction at the 'Fucked up' line was about the same as mine - Stupes? Cursing in their own song?? Who are they?? Favorite line though? "Fuck. Has anyone checked on Gran? She's alive but it melted her marzipan!" There's something too funny about hearing a person who rarely curses throwing out the f-bomb TWICE in a song. Re: jokes being obvious, or knowing what the punchline is, I think something really important was glossed over: delivery! I find that the best comedians aren't the ones with original jokes and subversions of expectations, but the ones that can tell you a joke you've heard a thousand times and yet _still_ make you laugh. As for "knowing where it's going", I think my favorite example of this is Kevin Smith's story about the never-to-be movie "Superman Lives", where he takes 20 minutes talking about all the mismanagement behind "Superman Lives," and expertly builds to a punchline about "The Wild Wild West".
