I'm glad you enjoyed them! Amateur Wordsmith is definitely very different from the sort of stuff I have ended up making. In fact, it's a lot older than you might realise. It was published 5 years ago but I actually made it 2 years before that and sat on it unfinished for ages. In 2016 I decided I should really just something with it so I finished the last 20% of the video and put it up so it's actually about 7 years old at this point. I agree in hindsight that the topic is a bit cliché! It's certainly not something I'd do now, though I am tempted to remake/reinterpret it for a big milestone. A sort of semi-sequel about the journey since the original that's more in line with my current content style and less relying on tropes. Will have to see how that pans out!

Oh wow! I had no idea it was from so long ago! Yeah, I have early songs like that myself (which, as I think on it, are actually TWENTY years old at this point). I still very much enjoyed this track, but I do think a remake/update is a great idea! Oh, and thanks again for checking out my reactions!

Sure it's a bit off or cliche, but it does have a special place in my opinion. As someone who has actually hated the whole rap genre for most my life because the tracks I've been exposed to, frankly, were a pile of trash mainly composed of, I'm a rapper posturing, "titties or gun crimes" and grating repetition. After happening across you, exploring the 'nerdcore', finding actually decent content in the genre has given me a different perspective on it as a whole. Still cant stand a good portion of content a lot of people put out. I remember asking someone why they like it(in I think 2016ish) and they said "I like when people can say something that can have more than one meaning" as they proceeded to play a track whose whole chorus/hook consisted of "I'm a drug dealer" repeating over and over... so yea that's the type of grating and frankly disheartening content I've previously came across in the genre time and time again. Not my cup of tea, so to speak, as it's not (to me at least) cleaver or creative. Rambling a bit, but that's my view on it.

I think you should continue reacting to song even if they are not exactly comedy related, for one you seem to be enjoying yourself regardless, and secondly you are still a musician reacting to another musician and that creates several interesting moments when watching. Of course that is entirely my own opinion, great content either way!

My god am I early! 4 views? Impossible Geometry is such a tongue-and-cheek song, I love it. But it's also a nice little psuedo-commentary on the evolution of VR and the growing appeal of altered reality. Also, the speed of which he delivers the lyrics is stunning. Oh! And the section where his face appears on the screen, he doesn't blink once, which is just so creepy and so accurate to VR. Before this reaction, I'd never seen Amateur Wordsmith before. Little baby Stupendium! I love the contrast between the black and white "pro" rappers and then him, in his little bright striped suit, hopping along to his own rhythm. It's so sweet and so wild to see the roots of such a phenomenal singer/song-writer. I think it's interesting that you paired his first rap, where he's finding his footing and exploring his flow, to Impossible Geometry, where he's snapping rhymes faster that you can understand them and has a clear, set, and exceptional style. Maybe it was intentional, maybe it wasn't.

As someone who can't watch the beat saber video the descriptions were helpful I got an idea of what the video was. Underselling yourself is a big thing in British comedy.
