Absolutely! The first book was so great and so enjoyable but it went downhill from there. I was willing to overlook how bland the second book was, hoping the finale would have been worth it. But Gods and Monsters was such a mess I doubt there was an editor involved in the publishing process. No sane person should have let it go to print without some massive edits.

❤️ the only romance I’ve read on your April TBR is Twisted Love. I’m not a romance reader- I do enjoy romance, especially on audio, but I consider myself a fantasy reader. As far as that book went I did enjoy it but the tone throughout the book is pretty much like the synopsis you read- it does actually get dangerous and dark and I love a morally gray character but even I had to roll my eyes once in a while reading that book haha I did have a good time with it though!

I recently picked up Fortuna Sworn on your recommendation and…had some feelings about it. The romance aspect of the story was definitely interesting and I liked where it was going but the actual plot development was a lot. Especially as there were more weird characters and creatures popping up in every chapter. But what really did it for me were the spelling and grammatical errors. I wish I could’ve continued with the series but every couple of hours I would be yelling to my roommate about something and she had to convince me to put it down and dnf it
