Plank make is a lot easier to manually cast now. It always makes the first log in the inventory, so if you rearrange or filter the spellbook so that the spell is near the bottom right where the last inventory slot is, you can just repeat click in the same spot for a whole inventory

HEY! The accursed scepter on ice burst in the wildy is 50% better to barrage. With accursed, occult, tormented with blood bark your max hit is 36! (ice barrage goes to 49) The wildy slayer cave has ankus in the bottom that are aggressive and stack well without input. as an added bonus you make money instead of losing it due to better drops and much lower casting cost from the blighted ice sacs and restores that can go in a LOOTING BAG. (every ankou you kill on average is 2600gp!) This method is also greatly improved by the wilderness player alarm plug in, you just turn it on and camp your equipment screen and whenever it flashes u 1 click a ring of wealth when equipped. Even if your risk is 500k you would have to die 30+ times to be even with monkey's and you get to whatever xp 50% faster.

One recommendation which I think went overlooked in this video: You can now rearrange the spells in your spellbook. This means its possible to make those inventory spells like superheat and alchemy more flexible. You could place superheat on the lower right corner of the spellbook and process your whole inventory without needing to move your mouse or bank.

For the low alch portion, you can save a ton of money alching cheap items like noted pure essence which you can buy for 1gp if you slow buy. Great guide!

I made an alt after the rebalance changes and wind strike alone is more than enough to handle everything you need to do in F2P, even Elvarg, with very little grinding. It's actually insane how good magic is in the early game now.

The strike spell level doesn’t matter anymore, the max hit of all elemental spells will be raised as you unlock the higher level version. So wind strike will have the same max hit as fire strike once you have unlocked fire strike.

Note that if you're not an iron you can buy a Forgotten Brew (4 dose is under 3k) off the GE and boost +9 from level 87 Magic to get the level 96 diary requirements. This saves having to get over 5.7m Magic xp for diary cape.

honestly if you zero out the skill at the end doing plank make(when its profitable) and bursting the profit away, youll make a great pace and wont burn out or feel stressed. If its on a side account or main, wait till you get good windows for profit on plank make and afk it while working on the other acc.

Just one thing, if you plan on doing Mage Training Arena the only thing you really need from there is Bones to Peaches. Then if you want to continue, then the master wand is second and the mage's book is third. What I'm trying to get at, is that the Inifinity Set is not worth grinding for, because the Bloodbark set is essentially the same as Infinity with one less magic bonus point per item but more melee defence and the same 1% bonus magic damage. So yeah, get bones to peaches, and instead of buying the infinity set, go for bloodbark, so much cheaper and better to use for a little bit less damage which isn't even going to be noticeable if you have something like occult necklace on.

You should do MTA for early Magic training. The recent updates to it have given it boosted exp on top of what you'd normally get. So it's faster than the normal methods of training at the level and profitable if you take Infinity/Wands. You should try to get BtP early on while it's meta exp instead of waiting to do it later when you have methods that are five times as fast.

For any spell you're repeatedly casting that requires nature runes, get Bryophyta's staff. It's a bit of an investment but you'll probably save money in the long run.

For anyone doing Scurius... there is an altar upstairs outside the sewer in the church and you can eat cheese between pulls. You should not bring any resources outside of gear/runes.

RS3 player: did a double take when I saw the mist staff. It's like an unwritten rule that you don't make air combo staffs, and it took the Elemental Staff uber rare from clues before RS3 did that. Even the MTX staff only gave Earth Water and Fire; every element BUT air.

Dark warriors in wilderness with accursed scepter is nice since ice sack + ether is about half the cost of the runes for a barrage and 50% increased damage makes it close to monkeys even though you'll be hitting slightly less targets

I dig yourchannel alot. Trader steve is my osrs hero, and that series has saved me alot of time. After a 15 year break from osrs i been playing 4-5months and almost got a Q cape. The DT2 bosses are a little tough for me, i still haven't killed zulrah, or post quest vorkath. Of all the orsr content creators i wish you put out a "how to improve pvm" guide. You seem pretty good at bossing. I'm close to getting my FM skill cape ...is it common to get a skill cape before a quest cape? Or am i just bad at Pvm. Or is this game just difficult to be good at?

I would guess more than half of players have at least 1 skillcape before getting their quest cape, but that depends on what you want out of the game.

Level up combat skills and practice. Vorkath is a good boss to train at especially with a blue dragon slayer task. It prints money too, ~200k per kill. Zulrah and DT2 bosses are way harder than content makers make them appear. I got QC at 100 combat but definitely died a lot doing the quests.

I know this is a magic guide, but crafting your own battlestaves and alching them makes them a bit more profitable providing you can make them. Slows magic xp unless you have 10m+ to drop into materials, but also gives some of the best crafting xp and essentially makes it free.

I remember my first time getting 99, before rs was split and EOC. I did undead monkeys and rock lobsters bursting then barraging with vecnas skull and prayer renewels with best pray boosting stuff possible so I never ran out. Took me I think 20m after 70 back then for the burst/barrage runes but It was worth it. now im at 85 on osrs after coming back and I am so burnt out on that method and no summoning so no crabs for blue charms.

You also have the cheap and most afk route. Splash fire strike. Takes around 2000 hours 😅 if you do highalch between splashes you quadrouple the xp tho. Not afk anymore

The bone staff was nerfed since release to no longer give splash exp you won’t get 100k exp anymore doing perfect kills is like 70-80k

I understand why you recommend ice bursting and barraging, but I think for a lot of people the way to go would just be to AFK. Combat is one of the only activities in this game that I would consider to be "truly" AFK and it can genuinely be done during work hours without being too distracting. If you're not gonna be playing the game otherwise anyway, why not put yourself at ammonite crabs and just AFK til 99 magic? Saves you a lot of money at more or less 0 time investment. Also imo you're doing slayer a disservice. Bursting slayer tasks will also get you a lot of xp at a relatively low cost because most burst tasks have pretty good drops (dust devils, smoke devils, nechs). You could also burst armoured zombies for pretty high xp and good profit.

Really confused about the remark of plankmake being slow. Instead of autocasting you can individually cast it on the planks nearly doubling speed & xp/h. Makes it about half as fast as bursting with the same profit.

Alternative route 4: - do quests and go for bones to peaches in the mage training arena if you require more magic level - do AoE tasks with ancient magic and use things involving lunar spellbook if available when training skills - voilà Between ele weak monsters(it is a xp multiplier), true AoE and the byproduct xp you get by just the virtue of moving around and training skills, the skill trains literally itself, it is the only skill in the game this way I feel like. That being said, yes tablets look really amazing and not only to sell, making yourself a batch of tablets is a genius move, saves a crapton of time.

Magic doesn't really level itself anymore at some point because almost all your damage will come from your trident and the trident has very low xp rates unfortunately. But yeah bursting slayer tasks is good

Came out with this a week after I got 99 magic on my 1 def. All I have to say is that barraging is never accurate xp rates in mm1 tunnels. I did 94-99 there and it sucked. You’re spending half the trip setting up the bones etc. overall, it still is around 300kxp/hr with that included. If you didn’t have to pick up and lay bones it would be 600k+
