This vid dropped right after I learned all AE2 mechanics 😭😭 your automated certus farm was really helpful, really appreciate that. At first AE2 looks like a gigantic wall I could never solve completely due to its massive resource requirement and weird mechanics (inscriber, presses) but turns out not really if you start and do it correctly. IMO having an automated certus farm should be done ASAP and also auto crafting system then after that auto processor crafting system to avoid manual grinding like monkey. Doing all 3 I mentioned isn't very hard due to having other modpack (create) to pick up the flawless certus bud. Even then spatial system is actually not that resource intensive, just to pick up 1 block. Grinding manually is even harder, moving back n forth touching the inscriber, manually harvest the crystal, throwing the water n wait all r high effort if done manually. But just spend 1 hr to setup the automatic one then you'll sail the ae2 breezely for the rest journey. I recommend to start with basic AE2 system with automations i mentioned then use remaining resources (iron, gold, diamond, RS) to grind for MI quarries ASAP. The steam and electric one are very worth it, it's basically perpetual infinite ore sources (even ancient debris). I got like 80k diamonds just 1 day of 6 quarries running. Though the path from steam to electric is hard no joke even with ae2 automation (actually i recommend to setup 1 machine to produce 1 MI part like capacitor instead of relying on ae2 pattern provider due to how MI machines behave). After MI quarries r done, then ae2 expansion should be a really easy task, no mining resource bottle neck faced ever. This if you hate mining like me. For energy source, solar panel is good but only for very basic early game. For late early, mid, to even ae2 end game, powah magmator is more favorable. Just get 1-2 nitro magmators and make 10k lava pool should be enough to generate power for ae2 system alone without giving any attention. For making 10k lava pool, imo the easiest path is to utilize hose pulley from create then connect it to fluid pipe from MI to suck from nether lava pool, buffer tank, then import it to very basic ae2 setup (import bus, cable, and me drive or chest with 1k fluid storage cell). Pumping in lava n out can be done in 1 hour or so since fluid pipe from MI can suck n drop lava very fast compared to create or other pumps. Ah to make the 10k pool, using schematic canon is also easy to do. Lava sources are also beneficial for fast infinite copper+sulfur generation. I tried the dripstone at first but they are not really reliable. Even 32 cauldrons n drip for 1 single nitro is not enough if drawing power at maximum rate. Crossdimensional wireless from ae2 using quantum link also not only connect the storage but also energy to charge the wireless terminal so energy transmitter is not necessary. Despite the scary name, quantum ae2 is kinda easy to achieve. Grinding like tech mod to achieve higher tier smth like that is not necessary at all in ae2. Very recommended to setup right after energy source issue is addressed since quantum system is kinda energy hungry if you haven't dive in the energy generation from tech mods.

I'm glad you found the automated Certus farm helpful. AE2 can be overwhelming at first, but once you get the hang of it, it definitely becomes smoother. I actually agree that setting up a Certus Quartz farm ASAP is important-that's something I emphasize in multiple places in the wiki I wrote, and I also made a tutorial for it, which I recommended people to go watch in the video you're commenting on. It seems like you may have missed that part. Regarding power generation, I still use solar as my primary power source even after completing all the mods twice. It's not just good early to mid-game-it's good all the time. I’ve filled a 2 billion Ender Cell with solar alone. Magmators can be useful, but they require proper chunkloading in the Nether, and a large quantity of lava and your setup is vulnerable to getting destroyed if the nether needs to be reset for any reason, which can get tricky. I find solar to be much more reliable and less maintenance. I suspect if you're dismissing solar, there might be issues with your cables (do you use superconductors?) or setup, because properly configured quantum solar panels are incredibly convenient. I also hear you about Modern Industrialization (MI), but I don't recommend it for a reason. As someone who has finished every single MI quest, I found it irritating and way too fussy, and the time sink to get through it is brain numbing. You have to constantly grind for more MI drills, and the path to the electric quarry takes an ostentatious amount of time. I suggest using a Terra Shatterer for mining instead, which is a lot less hassle in my opinion. If you prefer using MI, that's cool, but it's not something I'd ever recommend, and many players I’ve spoken with have had similar frustrations, as a moderator and a tester in the developers discord ive tried and tested every tech mod under the sun, and ive been playing minecraft since it came out. I have found with the massive time sink of using MI most players are not likely to want to complete that task. As for the magmator setup, thanks for explaining it, although I already know! I actually planned to cover it in a video since it’s something I already explained in the wiki I'm writing. Lastly, the player transmitter isn't just for the wireless terminal-it charges everything, from ender cells, quantum armor, weapons and tools like the gamer axe, which is why I recommend setting it up. It's much more versatile and user friendly for early game than the quantum ring. The quantum ring requires more difficult to get components and more power to run. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!

@@idreamofchaos I re-mentioned auto certus farm information that you already mentioned in the video to emphasize how important and easy it is to the audience :D because i wasted so much time doing manual certus farming and didn't know auto certus farm produces that massive amount with little investment. So not correcting smth like that, just re-telling people to do it ASAP. I still won't recommend solar for mid game because it requires massive amount of diamonds (assuming you need plenty of them) which can be spend to engineering processor or acceleration card instead or even to dive in MI, so not the cable issue but rather the amount of resources to spend to achieve tons of energy per tick generation. Not mentioning it produces even less energy during the night thus requires more resource either to make more panels or make energy storage. I know and use terra pickaxe from botania already (even with ring of odin or thor i forget) but still mining manually hours for everyday is grindy and that idea I still don't like it despite how easy mining it is with terra pick (or unbreakable builder wand) + even magnet collection from AE2 :') while I agree MI is hard as hell, actually it became much easier by magnitude orders after setting up the AE2 autocrafting. I won't mention it is as an easy tech mod but it is still doable to complete especially only up to electric quarry. I think without AE2 auto craft I won't do it because of the massive amounts of items/recipes to craft, but with AE2 auto crafting and inventory management (not just item but fluid also) I will do it again if I ever start a new world. The reward of no mining grinding forever is very worth it for me, I personally spent 20 hours of game play to complete MI from 0 up to electric quarry. The biggest challenges are ofc setting up those autocraft (sometimes importing from EMI messes up item value so have to manually do it), steam management, cable management, and the time waiting for autocraft to complete since their machines are very slow if not crafting the same recipe and no option to speed up either like using overclocker/speed enhancer in TR n Indrev. I think I won't touch MI quest again (stainless steel etc) unless I fixed my MI setup with autoproduce MI items directly with dedicated machines + ae2 storage bus to buffer chest instead of relying all to AE2 autocraft request based. But just for progressing to electric quarry, ae2 pattern provider next to machine is already enough. Waiting time is kinda long but can do other tasks while waiting the autocraft process to complete (5-30 mins IIRC). For making drills I don't touch it anymore :) my AE2 computer do it dailies though I am considering to make a dedicated drill factories instead cuz the AE2 constantly request every few minutes and I think it won't be good for server resource. I won't recommend doing MI to non AE2 folks tho, except if they really like the idea of tech, expanding factory machines, and don't mind spending days of game play. Back to energy generation. For final end game I personally haven't achieved yet but planning to setup the fusion reactor from TR instead. I don't think solar panels and magmators can match up the energy requirement from lot of machines like few matter fabricators etc. Well technically they can but the amounts are going to be tons... for now since I got infinite ore resources already producing infinite panels are possible (except UU matter tho, that I haven't achieved) for me right now but I don't want the potential lag it might introduce later. Thus why I put solar panel in very early only, magmator for mid game, and fusion reactor for end game. or did I overestimate the "potential" lag of running hundreds (or even thousands im not sure) of solar panels?

@@Alpha-kl4jo Hey, I appreciate you sharing your perspective! I get what you're saying about emphasizing the auto Certus farm-it really is a game-changer once you realize how efficient it can be. I like to stress that in my videos for the same reason: it’s easy to set up and makes life so much simpler. I see where you're coming from on the solar panels. If I was using more than 16 solar panels I may have an issue but if you craft quantum solar panels connecting them with super conductor cables that feeds an ender cell with a decent amount of energy storage, you will have no issues with power, even at night. I prefer using solar because it’s a set-it-and-forget-it method that scales well for what I need, but I understand that other energy sources like magmators can be more resource-efficient at different stages of the game. Ive also set up magmators in the nether, but that requires spatial anchors, and the official server for this modpack has made them uncraftable. As for MI, I agree it becomes more manageable with AE2 autocrafting. You will still end up crafting things by hand or having to cancel autocrafting to restart it occasionally if it gets bugged, but with a large Autocrafting setup you can get there in the end. Once it’s set up, you can minimize the grind, but for people who aren’t into tech-heavy mods or managing complex systems, MI can feel like too much. I have the drills set up to autocraft but I would rather go explore the pack and collect some resources, whereas every player having a large MI setup can lag a server. DO you play solo or on a multiplayer server? Because that may be another reason your play style is different. A modpack like Prominence 2, which is what I made this guide for, is set up so the players explore, crafting gear and getting stronger so they can defeat bosses like an rpg, more than spend hours and hours inside their bases messing with technology. I’ve completed all the MI quests myself, and while I appreciate the challenge, it’s not something I recommend to everyone (especially if you want to keep your sanity). For endgame energy, fusion reactors definitely pack a punch! Solar might not be as strong, but I still use it because it fits my playstyle. I think the lag concern really depends on your setup and the server load, but it’s always smart to plan ahead. I haven’t needed the amount of power that is generated by a fusion reactor, and I don’t have any power issues with my solar and magmators set up, but I have seen other players trying to automate the fusion reactors (and they struggle, and curse). Thanks again for the detailed feedback! Everyone has their own approach, im going to stick with my solar panels and magmators, because its what works for me and for teaching people how to set up power in a simplified format like on youtube.

This is a great guide! I’ve been playing through a similar Prominence 2 Hasturian play through and found so many of the guides have extra stuff in them to shortcut stuff, it’s frustrating. But yours are perfect! Same combination and very thorough! One thing I had trouble with when moving to AE2 storage was item types filling the storage really fast, did you find a good way to filter out unstackable items into bulk storage?

There's actually a mod for that in the newest Prom 2 updates. Look up the ME Tag Bus.
