I'm 56 and have Crohn's disease, arthritis (everywhere)not saying this to lecture just as an example of what is possible, I spent a couple of days at Giza in April,I didn't manage to get inside the great pyramid (too steep)but saw everything else by taking my time and just strolling about ,was great, I do hope you can get to enjoy these historical sites in person ,if you can't then using Google earth ,images ,line drawings etc to visualise it in your minds eye is a close second , I did this and felt like I knew every inch of the plateau, our noggins are amazing 🤩 all the best from sunny Troon Scotland ❤

Whilst I have been to Abydos a couple of times, access to the Osirion wasn’t permitted, so it’s great to see such a detailed walkthrough! One theory is that the central island represents the primordial Island of Creation and the water surrounding it the Waters of Chaos -early Egyptian creation myths. The carved scenes are from either the Book of Amduat or Book of Gates, and what is being described as “boats’ are actually the Solar Barque of Ra-compare with the Royal Tombs at Luxor! Otherwise a very interesting video and grateful for finally ‘seeing’ what is there.

Hi Brien. Thank you again for your job. Looking at the tool marks in circular holes, it seems like the distance between patterns is greater than the distance we have today with the current technology. In other words, that distance gives us the idea of the pressure the tool applies on the stone on its way down. Greater distance reveals more advanced technology. Current tools show less than 1 mm between marks if I'm not wrong.

The small rooms that are sealed except for the obvious door (holes for hinges) makes me wonder if they were storage rooms for grain to feed the priests. 18:55 Could be dynastic. Note that the Horus depiction is sectioned by the block-joints similar to several reliefs of archetypal Pharao in the Temple of Luxor: directly through the knees as well as with a T-joint at Horus' right shoulder and another single joint through his left shoulder. Same thing to the left of sitting Osiris(?) and his knees. As R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz pointed out in his "Temple of Man" regarding Luxor, this is on purpose. Couldn't tell if it's the same purpose here. When I visited the Osireion in October 2014, the underground well had flooded the basin to an extend that we couldn't walk in between the pillars :(

It's because the groundwater is damaging the carvings at a very high level. The presence of salt is, literally, destroying that passage everyday. Nothing to do with mistery or raw-finished. At its time, it had the same appearence as the Valley of the Kings tombs. In fact, that passage was decorated (at least) by the grandson of Sethy I, Merenptah. And it had the same symbolism as well. The same texts appear in the walls of Merenptah tomb (the books of Imiduat, Gates and so) and here. This was a symbolic tomb but containing all the structures of a real one for that same period.
