Thanks for the awesome video. We are heading to Gros Morne in 2025 and this trail is highest on my list. We should be there shortly after the open. Thanks again for an amazing video! Can't wait to see your others.

Thank you for the informative video! I will be in Gros Morne for 6 days in early/mid September. We are planning to do this hike as well as the Western Brook Pond day hike with Bon Tours. Any thoughts on the Bon tours day hike vs boat tour?

I haven’t done the WBP day hike so can’t comment on that, but I loved the boat tour. I actually have another Gros Morne video that includes it if you’re interested kzbin.info/www/bejne/a2rZhZl8a6anq7csi=lzCIFtvz0wytyI2W

Very nice presentation. Will be going in August. 2 questions- can u camp anywhere along the trail or does it have to be in a designated camp site ? Also, is that pond at the bottom of Ferry Gulch good for swimming ?

My understanding is that at Gros Morne National Park you are not allowed to "wild camp" at locations of your choice. I believe any backcountry camping must only be at designated primitive sites and all require advance reservation/registration. The pond at Ferry Gulch certainly looked like one could swim in it, but I didn't get in since it and there was nobody there when I hiked by. Have an amazing time!

Can you do it in 2 days, camping out one night?

You can, but you'd have reserve one of the tent campsites at Ferry Gulch in advance. parks.canada.ca/pn-np/nl/grosmorne/activ/experiences/randonnee-hiking/mgm-gmm
