A Computer Programmer’s Call to the Priesthood || Fr. Eamon Roche || Vocare

Fr. Eamon Roche was raised in a traditional Irish Catholic home and was born into a joyful Catholic family. Prior to his vocation, he had other careers. He studied electrical engineering, followed by a diploma in education, and worked as a teacher for four years. Later, he explored other areas and worked as a computer programmer for a decade. It was not until his mid-thirties that he heeded his call to the priesthood. Fr. Eamon left his promising career behind and responded to the Divine call to become a priest of Christ. He shares the joy and fulfillment he found in his vocation in this episode of ‘Vocare.’

Just open the door and return to the loving embrace of the church...the Body of Christ... there will be no judgement just rejoicing. it was there in the body of the church with his friends, the upper room, where Thomas regained his faith when Jesus invited him to place his fingers in the holes the nails had made in his hands... (Sunday's Gospel Divine Mercy Sunday). It was in the breaking of the bread that the downhearted defeated disciples on the road to Emmaus recognised Jesus. Remember the words of the prophet Isaiah "you are precious in my eyes and I love you" Good luck on your journey home. You are here being guided by the loving hand of Jesus and his mother Mary 🙏
