Makes perfect sense and very refreshing to hear ….. I always thought the high regimentation of sleep restriction could cause even more anxiety.

Agreed, we both are same, I didn't find sleep restriction much helpful even though it is the key component of cbti. However i didn't implement the technique or say i am bit confused weather i should implement it or not

Hi Alina , I am new to your channel and I hope to get a response 🤍 your videos are very helpful to me as I am currently struggling with insomnia for a little over a month. The first 2 weeks were awful 😞 I was so afraid that I would go crazy with no sleep. Slowly my body is realizing that I will be ok despite how tired and moody I may feel. I have been getting about 2-3.5 hours of sleep a night or if not I sleep 5 hours but wake up so many times throughout the night and feels like I haven’t slept. It’s an awful feeling. I’m wondering how did your insomnia look like. ? How many hours a night were you averaging. ?

I think we need to stop focusing on how many hours. You can meditate and your brain relaxes. I know a guy guru who sleeps 2:30 and now 4 hours. It’s not easy but be kind to yourself.

in most of your videos you talk about insomnia recovery. However if you're still in the midst of insomnia, how exactly do you take the leap to be on a recovery road?

Not sure if I understood the question correctly, but in the videos I’m sharing my insights to begin and stay on the journey. There is no other way but to start the journey from the midst of insomnia, I think. But let me know if I misunderstood your question

I thought insomnia is due to low progesterone ?

Anything can disrupt sleep, including hormones. That's a plain sleep disruption that goes away as the original reason of sleeplessness is no longer there. However when we develop fear around sleep, it is not due to hormones. It happens exactly the same way how people develop fear of panic attacks, fear of heights, etc. With that said, there is nothing wrong with checking your health - just for the peace of mind. But once there is fear of not sleeping we need to work with that fear. And so far people haven't invented a pill against fear :)
