Considered one of the central figures of 20th century Christian music, Bill Gaither is a prolific composer of gospel songs with numerous hymn standards that have won Grammys, Dove Awards, and more. Alongside his wife Gloria, they are responsible for the writing of more than 700 gospel songs, including well-known songs such as “Because He Lives,” “The King is Coming,” “He Touched Me,” “Loving God, Loving Each Other,” and many countless others. Bill and Gloria’s tireless work of communicating the reality of Christ through lyric and melody has garnered them multiple Grammy Awards, Dove Awards, and the title of Gospel Music Association’s “Songwriter of the Year” eight separate times.
