Deborah Ayorinde is an actor starring in Amazon’s THEM: COVENANT, an anthology horror series executive produced by Lena Waithe and Little Marvin and most recently in Amazon’s RICHES, a drama series that follows the exploits of the stylish, privileged, super-successful Richards family. Ayorinde also appeared alongside Octavia Spencer and Kate Hudson on the second season of Apple TV+’s TRUTH BE TOLD, the NAACP Image Award-winning Apple Original drama series that provides a glimpse into America’s obsession with true crime podcasts.
Ayorinde played opposite Cynthia Erivo in the critically acclaimed feature film HARRIET and guest starred in the acclaimed Netflix series LUKE CAGE. She played Mahershala Ali’s daughter in the latest installment of TRUE DETECTIVE for HBO and starred in the massively successful Universal feature GIRLS TRIP. Ayorinde appeared in Sony and Netflix’s FATHERHOOD opposite Kevin Hart.
As a student at Howard University, she won the coveted Paul Robeson Best Actress award for her performance in a short film that she wrote and directed. Ayorinde splits her time between Los Angeles and London, where she was born.
