I'm a serious Moogophile, but I do like the ARP. I've never played one, and I don't know much about them, so this was really fascinating. I can't believe how I've come to take these kinds of things for granted. Not long ago, seeing something like this would have been impossible. Talking remotely, via VIDEO!, recorded and made accessible to anyone, anywhere in the world. Science fiction only yesterday.

ARPs and Moogs are compatible and part of the same wonderful synth family! It's fascinating what's out there, indeed!

There's a great story, a telegram or something from Teo Macero (?) to the Columbia execs "Miles said he wants to call the album "Bitches Brew". Please advise.", rotfl. Thanks for sharing this wonderful interview!!!

Sad Mr Pearlman never gonna know how respected his work is today. I m very proud on Dina that she does something with this past .

Any chance for liner notes and/or a physical release for the album? Thanks for including the cover and other pics in the BandCuamp download. I was quoted $40 shipping for the cover print. Is that value correct? Thanks very much for this video.

Hello, and thanks for your interest! We are considering it, but will probably have to be a pre-order due to our status (see below.) The print is a Giclee printed on fine art paper 18 x 24. We are making very little profit, but all the money goes to the Alan R Pearlman Foundation, which is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit.

Lisa, when you are playing the string ensemble at the end, I see you have only four voice buttons and no modulation button to the right of the keys. The vast majority of string ensembles had the modulation button for turning the effect on and off. I have a Solina branded string ensemble that I bought used in 1979, that has the same configuration as yours. The third voice button on mine is the modulation button. Is yours the same or is yours one of the models where the effect is always on? I cannot find any information on my particular model anywhere on the internet .

By the way, I should have started by saying how much I enjoyed this talk with you and Dina. It’s great to hear where you both got your inspiration and to hear Dina talk about her dad. I bought a 2600 in 1974, which I foolishly sold a few years later when I needed the money. I really wish I still had it.

I have 2 different Solina ensembles. One does have the horn and a default switch for the phase shifters, the other one has a default where the horn button would be. Thanks for watching! 💜

I love this, and all of Lisa's discussions on her awesome work and how she got here. However, I do have to ask why an audio KZbin channel such as this, is putting out an interview with the audio hard panned to the left initially and then hard panned to the right - makes it really uncomfortable to listen to. I am miffed!! In fact, the overall production of this video is utterly terrible.
