Such a brilliant artist. His work is deceptively simple. He's a genius when it comes to using shadow.

Yes. And the crazy things: in his pencils he just use the usual way of defining shadows with a simple "x" instead of filling the blancs. Which is extraordinary, when you see how well thought out the shadows really are.

Interviewer annoyed me. While trying to catch him on his Moebius hat she missed him mentioning MEETING Moebius.

I adore comics and am learning how to write, pencil, draw, ink and color my own. Bernie Wrightson, Rudy Nebres and David Finch are my spirt animals, but the only comic book art prints, I pay to have framed and hang on the walls of my home is Mignola’s. He’s on another level from anyone.

I’m sorry but this lady was just asking the dumbest questions and automatically assumed his style was later influenced by the comics in the 90’s. Not to mentioned it seemed like she was trying to hard to act cool in front of his presence by constantly swearing.

I deeply appreciate Karen Greens work at Columbia University, but it's a sucker punch to the gut to hear the curator for Comics and Cartoons tell a master cartoonist and illustrator he drew the "feet wrong".
