Awesome to see them both together, talking and laughing. Especially Rich usually he seems a bit irritated or uninterested in whatever is going on like he doesn’t want to be there. Seeing him with a smile on his face laughing and commenting on things is awesome. It’s good to see them in a good place able to sit around and talk about the good ol days. Maybe one day they can get the entire moneymaker lineup back together that would be awesome.

@davidmoorhead Fair enough. I guess I was coming from the angle of in this specific video, starting from the beginning and leading into SYMM. Why would they mention Eddie or Marc at this point? I think it's as equally boring all the nonstop nonsense about past band members....this band was NEVER built for lifelong bandmates (most aren't) from the start. I'm still glad the key Songwriters are continuing on. Peace Anyways ✌️
@davidmoorhead10 ай бұрын
@@TheRoomfull But the whole thing here was to promote the SHAMC set. They did SYMM. They released the box, did the tour. It's finished. Why even tread on this ground anymore. This isn't an Anthology project. The first video in this "series" was to kick off conversation about Sting Me. Fine. Now we're back to SYMM and before? While I always want to say that I'm shocked with the decision making in this camp, I stopped actually saying it in 1998 after Chris started to wear ridiculous make up and sequins. And it's not really nonstop nonsense in regard to past members. Ask the Stones about that. Mick Taylor lives rent free in the minds of all of us Stones fans for however much we love Ron (who, in his own right, is a great player and good guy). Rich and Chris could absolutely tie a knot on the conversation if they just addressed it themselves and mentioned the old guys, their positive contributions, and celebrate a Marc guitar solo without the awkward celebration of the Sting Me cowbell when the solo finally did hit. I mean, you do see how odd and awkward that last video was, right? You're telling me they couldn't possibly give those guys their due? Just so it's clear - instead of saying that was a monster moment in our recorded history they decided that they needed more fucking cowbell. Process that, man. More fucking cowbell. Rich and Chris ARE an SNL bit at this point.

I agree 100%. Unfortunately, that's one reunion that'll never happen, thanks to Gorman's tell-all bio. Gorman predicted what would come though. As we all recall, the Robinsons were at each other's throats and Gorman predicted that, after his book was released, the brothers would reconcile, reform the Crowes, and make a big $$$ grab without him in the wake of his book.

Soon starting my own "Tower Records Sunset Blvd" blog on my channel but I had a great rapport with Rick Rubin back then. One day Rick tells me "Goerge is down south, insisting we sign this 'Crowes' band" and " it's weird, these guys look EXACTLY like you , and you're constantly playing those (London) Quireboys ep's... Is it a thing?" I said the timing is perfect! G'n'R is blowing up, and The Stones currently inactive. "Hmmm", he paused. He did not have to remind me his label was really struggling. I see Rick weeks later. "Against my better judgement, I signed 'em". Still nervous! Another friend gave me a cassette copy of "Shake Your Money Maker" which then took 6 months to hit the shelves, but I knew it was a winner.

I hope we get to hear some Eddie Harsch stories later on. I know there’s some bad blood with Steve and Marc and some of the others, but I think some Ed stories would be great to hear. I’m not like some people that say this isn’t The Black Crowes because such and such aren’t in the band, but I wish we could get some acknowledgment of those older members. Just a simple “Those guys really made our sound back in the day” would be great. I love the current band and I think they’ve assembled a great group of guys that can carry the music forward. I hope we can hear some deeper cuts get played in setlists and some of the jams come back because I have no doubt these new guys can handle it. Peace and Love to everybody!
@deejay706010 ай бұрын
They’re not gonna discuss former members. Rich and Chris are too egomaniacal, and think they’re the only Black Crowes that matter. The Black Crowes are just a nostalgic act now. Playing the hits for a paycheck. Read Steve’s book if you want some Ed stories, and a glimpse of how money played into Chris’ decision making.

I beg to differ, Amorica was almost as good as SH&MC, and Before the Frost After the Freeze is amazing (with Luther D killing it on lead). My least favorite is Three Snakes, but even that had some good tracks on it. All in all, there’s good to great tracks on all their albums. I saw them twice live, in Vegas at the hard rock in 95, and in the Bay Area 26 years later, great live band too!
