@xzjayz79256 ай бұрын
I think Bo goes Penn State (stays home) or goes Spencer Lees route and becomes the new face of Iowa and starts his own legacy maybe even a better legacy than Spencer. While Jax, goes Okie St and sets the standard with David Taylor and Ladarion Lockett.
@dangerpowers45826 ай бұрын
@xzjayz7925 I hope he doesn't go to Iowa, but Spencer Lee is a huge influence on him, so it's definitely a possibility. Personally, I'd like to see him go to a smaller program and start something big there.
@xzjayz79256 ай бұрын
@@dangerpowers4582 I yap a fair amount, but here are my thoughts and opinions on the situation. honestly, id like BOTH of them to go to a smaller school too. But I don’t see him developing at a smaller school, like he would at Penn State, Iowa, Okie State, or Ohio State. While I think he’ll be successful wherever he goes, much like Spencer Lee. I don’t think Spencer had he gone to Utah Valley for example would’ve been a 3x NCAA champion. I still think he would’ve found major success because he is just that much of a phenom, like Bo Bassett. But training partners, equipment, funding, and fanbase/ties help develop athletes to new levels. Let’s look at Shane Griffith. Stanford is alive because of how talented he was. But from there he (kinda) regressed. He doesn’t have insane support like Penn State (staff & partners) and Iowa (funding & fans). In fact, he had to transfer for that very reason. He needed a new atmosphere. At one point, Bo is going to hit a wall. He might as well start off correct to begin with. And I think either Penn State (most likely) or Iowa (heavily likely as well) are the two biggest options. 1.) the results Penn State producers and the insane partners they have. Then 2.) Spencer Lee being able to train with Bo, Alongside Austin Desanto who also has an intense pace, and they will surely develop his top game, with Real Woods and Spencer in the same room. They’re lightweight nation for a reason. But only way I seen him going to anywhere besides those two is because of 2 things. Jax Forrest or resources. What I mean by resources, example being Ohio State. Bo is probably going 141 in college. He’s a little too short got 149, but could still go there as well. With that being said, he’ll have a training partner in Jesse Mendez, Bozaukis, Marcus Blaze (if they snag him), Ben Davino, etc… Ohio State are also producing good results. However, I see Jax going to Okie state. I don’t know why but my mind just physically can’t imagine him going anywhere else. His style, the tie to Daton Fix, and now that DT is head coach, I think Jax style blends well with the “magic” in the “magic man.” If Jax doesn’t make a comment until his senior year, I will 100% bet he’s going to Okie state, IF DT provides adequate results in for the Cowboys. The regressing in Iowa can’t be ignored as well and might ultimately play a role in where those two commit. Marcus Blaze isn’t going to Penn State, that much is obvious. Ironically, I think Marcus Blaze fits Penn States Mindset but my gut tells me he goes Ohio State with having a training partner in Jesse Mendez and now Ben Davino and others. He might also go to Purdue, huge ties there. I think these schools are the only ones in consideration for Jax, Bo, and Marcus. Penn State Cornell Iowa Okie State Ohio State Those are the top 5 overall picks im going with. Cornell’s mindset, training partners, and results can’t be ignored. Mike Gray is growing and cooking with the program. And honestly Jax is just a small Meyer Shapiro 😂. I’m also very biased toward Cornell. But sorry for the rant, don’t have to read this all, just needed to share these thoughts since I was bored about to head to sleep.

I think Bo and the Bassett brand will probably go to the Hawkeye’s. They promote their athletes more than any other program. Look at the promotion that Spencer got from his coach’s, and then see the lack of promotion that athlete’s from Penn State receive. Bo has a brand and like it or not he would be a superstar at Iowa and he would be constantly promoted by the coaching staff. Cael and Co. do not promote individuals, and say nothing sensational to help their brand. He would be just another Penn State wrestler.
@PJSPP6 ай бұрын
Your argument is completely flawed. The reason Spencer was so heavily promoted is because Iowa has had literally 1 person win NCAAs since 2017, so they didn't HAVE anyone to promote. Had they had the boatload of champs PSU had, Spencer wouldn't have been as big of a deal to Iowa, thus not received that type of promotion.
@WrestlerMichael6 ай бұрын
@PJSPP You must not follow wrestling that closely, Tom and Terry were promoting Spencer before his red shirt was even pulled. Tom literally hyped Spencer by saying how great he was and that when he was Spencer age, Spencer would have wipped his tail. I love Cael but he does zero promotion for his athlete’s. Heck the bull got more promotion for Tom and Terry than Starocci got from Cael and he never saw the finals of the NCAA’s.

@@WrestlerMichael yeah and who ended up with a four time NCAA champ, and who ended up with a kid they put so much pressure on he didn’t make it, Penn state knows exactly what they are doing, and they try to keep that outside pressure of those kids because they already have enough, and they don’t have to promote since all the winning they are doing promotes itself
