There is this other van lifer, Tory Delury. She had a great idea. She put hoses underneath her van and then on the sides. The hoses were connected to a large cannister of pepper spray. People are pounding on your vehicle. You turn on the lights have cameras. Then you squeeze the cannister of peppers pray and the pieces of scum get hit with a cloud of pepper spray. 😂 It back fired on Tory but I really liked her idea

That must have been a nightmare. Luxkily the Lorry driver and his company were decent enough to PayPal up. Luckily we never had an accident wirh the camper, Fingers crossed. I am going to watch your next vid now to see how your journey continued. ... and I am sliwly catching up, only 10 videos to go 😂

Am sorry for your in incident. Make sure wheel alignment is checked along with left front suspension and make sure that the van does not pull to one side when letting off steering wheel while driving on a straight road. Also, no abnormal noises when driving on an uneven surface and turning steering from one side to the other. Good luck with resolving all.

Hi C2H! OMG! How awful & what a pain getting it all sorted!! So sorry this happened but luckily it's plastic / metal that got damaged & NOT skin / bone. The other good news is that the lorry driver was man enough to hang around & admit his mistake - you could have stuck your head out & seen him disappearing into the distance! I hope the work went well & also the repairs to Tandy (+ payment of course). Take care & I look forward to the next update. N1S Kev x

I had a hit and run had to replace heater vent also reattach some trim. Hope your van all fixed soon.

Wow, how expensive! I think in Lithuania in a garage such a repair would cost 500-1000 with replacement and diagnostics!And here it’s also good that I’m driving a semi-integral camper and not an integral But, “Thank God for money and not health”

You need to get some outdoor cameras and inside camera! That will help with your insurance claim as well! Glad that you didn’t get hurt!

Hi Charlene and Chris What a drama I suspect the driver of the vehicle was tired on a night shift and did not check his road out of the area, easy to do but has caused so much damage and problems. Reminds me of a situation many years ago about 30 plus when my wife was hit by an uninsured disqualified driver. Took 2 years to get the payment but the sting in the tail was when I dropped my wife back home I had an accident also 2 in a few hours! All the best Crawford

Hi Chris the tale did not end there, not long after we went on a Med Cruise, we left the BMW in care of the cruise parking agents, the driver drove the BMW into the back of a bus!. It was not repaired properly, it had to be fixed again. After that as I went to work one morning a few months later a driver of a Jaguar drove into the rear end of me! After 70k miles this was one of the best vehicles I ever owned despite the shunts, it was solid. Regards Crawford

That's a proper nightmare for any van owner. Glad it looks to works out with the insurance. Just grit your teeth, move on and it's behind you before you know.

On the plus side you only had damage to the Fiat part of the motorhome .. If it had been the coachbuilt part I can tell you even if the parts were availible you would be in for the long haul neer mind the fact I bet the mouldingsa are not avalible for your van anymore. You would have to get verything custom made Took me six-seven weeks just to get a window made for my hab, door and that was easy. Just been over the hill from Freberbrunn in Saalbach.

5000 euro sounds like a total scam. unless there is strucutural damge, I cant imagine why it would cost so much. (profesional car mechanic btw)

Hey mate thanks for the comment. Unfortunately the only places that will touch our van in south Germany and western Austria are these Fiat places and they all charge 150-200 euro p/hour and have these exagerated fixed prices for everything. When we did some stuff in the UK and Albania it felt like we had a 50% discount 😃

@@TravelTalesVlogs dealerships do that, you could have probably gotten away with duct taping the bumper together, 1 new tier and maybe some hammering to strighten out the rim (as its steel not aluminum). I understand it was all covered by insurance but just figured I say my piece. labour is a lot cheaper in eastern europe. As someone who lives in poland I make literally half if not less, then what I would make doing it in germany
