I wanted to try a few things on my lowered daily driver gmc sierra Denali. I have been seeing the stake pocket covers and while several people make them I wanted to get a set that somewhat match the plastic on the top of the rail. I found this set and installed them. They are very easy to install but I did have to remove the 2 sided tape. I think it cleans up the look of the truck. The next thing we do is remove the ginormous GMC Emblem on the bed. The 2019 and Up GMC uses one of the biggest GMC badges or emblems I have ever seen. I show you how to remove it and no it doesn't have holes behind it. I then move to the front to black out the gmc emblem with vinyl. I may upgrade to a painted one but it is cheap to wrap and looks better in my opinion. I tried to wrap the chrome mirror caps after that but not sure I am using the best method. Let me know how to improve and get better. Hit the Comments and let me know what you think.......

I like the black in the emblem, it looks much better. The stake pocket covers really smooth out the bed rails.

i'm not an expert by any means but i've messed around with wrap and it'd be easier to wrap if you heat it up and stretch it onto the mirror cap, and post heating before cutting would prevent it from lifting up

I color matched my mirror caps and grill surround on my Denali. Looks waaaaay better. Just order the SLE covers for the mirrors, also got a cheap SLE grill, took it apart to get the color matched surround. It was a pain to do the grill, but looks so much better

When I debadged my GMC...I used gasoline on a cloth to remove the leftover glue...alot faster and won't damage your paint finish

Truck looks killer! Definitely blacking out the GMC in the front was a good choice. I have a set of gloss black mirror caps I pulled off my 2022 Silverado RST to do color matched ones. Just sitting in a box in the garage. I'd sell them cheap if you decide you want a paint set of mirror covers. I'm located in Illinois.

Front emblem looks great black. Black or color match mirror caps would look better then the chrome. Heat is off the chart here in Louisiana and no rain for at least 2 months here at home 🥵. ✌🏻

Yes the gmc in my opinion probably needs the emblem. I have the silverado of that Gen and completely debadged it and get compliments all day on it but yes that tail gate needs something

GMC Sierra Denali looking sharp with the rear badge 9ff.. the vinyl is like window tint film.. you have to almost always keep a heat gun on it to keep it laying flat.. Patience is definetaly needed... 👍

Have you ever experimented with the type of fishing line you use to remove emblems? I’ve though there may be a difference in effectiveness between braided line, fluorocarbon, or monofilament. Braided line will be stronger, won’t break, and possibly cut through the clue better.
