A few years ago, when I lived in a high crime area, before I was a student of ACIM, I heard some commotion outside. As I opened the back door I saw my neighbour going absolutely nuts. He saw me and really launched into a abusive rant. I went out to talk to him to see if I could reason with him but to no avail. Anyway, it took a turn as he started threatening to kill me.. he knew gang members who would do the job. This is in the UK. Anyway, in that split second I don't know what made me think of it, I just started to sing a worship song I learned from church. Now I was the one who looked crazy 😂 My neighbour was completely disarmed by this. He calmed down, mumbled something about 'oh, you're one of them are you?' and by the end HE APOLOGISED!!! 🙌

I still recall attending a Spiritual Church more than a few years ago. There was a platform minister doing readings. His name was Martin. Martin came to me later and said, 'my message for you is that you are very Holy'. I stuttered out that it was because I had important guides or that my teacher was Holy. With my false humility, I wanted Martin to know that that Holiness belonged to anyone but me. It is indeed an ego trap designed to keep us little and seperate.
