It's cringy at the beginning for adults like me because the writing style is targeted for young adults. You can very clearly see it with the characters

The style it's adequate for a 12-16 y.o. book, but the sex scenes push it to 18+, so I guess this is why it's young adults 🤷🏼‍♀️. As an old adult with 12 yo tastes in books, I just skip the sex scenes , I'm pretty sure nothing relevant to the story happens there 😂.

If you don't think it's y.a. then you must be very young. I'm older and it took a while to enjoy the series cause it's targeted to younger audience and you could tell with the way its written which apparently yall cant tell.
