Cameron, I love the laidback simplicity of this video. It's cozy and intimate and perfect for fall. Don't stress about elaborate videos for October (editing them sounds intense--it's exactly why I don't vlog). Quality over quantity and all that, but also, it's okay if you want to prioritize other things instead.

Cameron, even if you do a video of you waking up and going through your everyday life and it’s an hour-long, I’d still watch it. I have a few favourite book tubers but you are by far my favourite. I don’t choose too many favourites, but your videos just bring a smile to my face and make me happy when I open KZbin in the morning and see a video of yours in my recommendation page. I was looking forward to reading the new Autumncrow in October (started the first one on the first day of autumn and reading now!) but now I’ll just look forward to reading it later! Spooky time is year round. 💜 I feel for you that it wasn’t what you had hoped for though. The Demon Harvest cover is like pure Halloween vibes. Instantly happy seeing purple and orange smashed together. This is a really fun Halloween TBR. I’m doing Slime and Slashers’ Halloween movie readathon and still finalizing my TBR but JW Ocker’s Salem book is actually on there because I’m going to Salem in October!! The laidback videos are good too! Do whatever makes Halloween most enjoyable for you 🎃

I am excited for the new Autumncrow regardless of when you release it! Honestly, there are so many Halloween things in October, and I celebrate spooky season year round. Having a release to look forward to at any time of the year is exciting! I imagine it’s frustrating when you set goals for yourself, but don’t be too hard on yourself.

having a full time job + being an author is so much work! Such a cool mug and talk me about spilling coffee. 😂 I am going to start packing to move in december and I do not know how consistent I will be with my content because it is about to get stressful for me as well. Writing is hard. I wanted to release my book in September, but those plans quickly jumped out the window, (school has been keeping me back from diving back into the book.) Still hopeful that I'll be able release it in October tho....but at this point it's looking like a November release for me as well. Glad I'm not the only one struggling lol I hope that I can come to peace with my delays too 😅

No worries on a November release! It would still fit in with Autumn so it’s all good. Better to take your time than to rush it. Once it’s out, the most important thing is producing the best work you can. If that means a few extra weeks to brew, then that’s worth it in the long run. I bought the Stitchers last month. Hoping to read it soon. Right now I am reading Hide and Seeker. It’s pretty good. Got a bit of an It vibe to it (just the kids portion of It though). Found the Scholastic paperback version randomly at Half Price Books. Gotta love those unexpected finds! Hope you find what you want today at HPB too, Cameron!

I've changed the way I do reviews to save time on the whole process - I don't write them out now I just read my post-it notes out and discuss each one briefly or read a line I liked. Get your book out whenever it's ready buddy, don't rush or cut corners 👍 but do hurry up... 😄

Man, I really feel that about liking books that most people seem to dislike. It's to the point where I'm a little wary of leaving reviews on Goodreads because I'm worried someone will be annoyed enough with me that they'll say something mean because they think I'm too stupid to understand what I read. Book discussion is fine, but the Internet is getting more and more contentious and has been for awhile so I feel like it's only a matter of time before that bleeds over into reader spaces. So far it hasn't happened, though, thankfully.
