hahaha- only once indeed! the ones you gathered reminded me a bit of King Stropharia/wine cap/stropharia rugosoannulata- except i noticed that the last huge one that came in solo w/ the timber- didn't have gills- it was just spongy and porous- and the winecaps have gills.i have grown oyster and lion's mane shrooms from kits in the past, they were delicious and it was great fun;) i was just wondering if you could share with us what type of shrooms they were that you cooked up?

My father built the house I grew up in. He did it all by himself, and had learned all the trades by helping guys out, and remembering how they did things. I could almost SMELL the wood shavings when you were trimming the edge of your table! When I go into a lumber dept of a store, it always reminds me of my dad. Thank you for bringing back beautiful memories for me. He died 25 years ago, and I still miss him.

I'm no expert, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say go see if there are guides for what grows in your local area, I don't think it's one of those things where there are a few tells on whether or not it's safe, but rather, a regional info thing where you have to be aware of which ones you can or can't eat. Safe bet though, if you don't know if it's edible or not, don't eat it. Last thing you wanna do is be out in the wild eating random stuff and you have some health condition imposed on you that may have been trivial in an urban setting but now it's crippling and you don't end up coming back. Hope this helps.

This storm was strong! I don't know if it's because of the height, but the thunder didn't seem to stop! Amazing sounds. Sometimes I regret not being able to record everything. Enjoyed every second. I have always believed that far from being 'primitive' man living in caves, they were actually darn smart to make use of an awesome natural shelter, and, knowing mankind, they were well organised, warm, clean and cosy. Same with clothing. Far from the half naked man in animal loin cloths, they were equally well thought out, well designed and decorated and effective for the climate. With the downfall of society we are witnessing, well may we end up seeking a good cave for ourselves. Native American artifacts in caves show woven mat floors still today. Very inspiring video!

Luxon! The slide out table is genius! And so many nice little touches here and there, especially the "candlier", made it very cozy. Made my mouth water.😋🤣
