I own this watch, just got it a few months ago, and I could not be happier. This is a beautiful watch and fits wonderfully. I wear this watch more than my Rolex Datejust 41 just because the colors go with basically anything you wear. I did not know about Ball watches until I saw this watch and I fell in love. The only downside I would sway is the power reserve. After wearing it 2+ days, it will die completely after about 36 hours. That being said I love this watch and is always fun to look at day or night.

While I am not a fan of the multicolor indices, I have to applaud Ball for attempting to do something out of the ordinary. In a world where so many watch manufactures - especially those with a long history - don't take risks, its nice to see an established company try something unique.

This puts some fun back into a hobby that often is all too serious and stuffy. I'm still gonna die one day and if I do with a handful of well used watches or 50 never worn Daytonas in a safety deposit box. I'm still gonna think about good times with loved ones while I'm on my death bed. Hopefully, some of the watches will trigger some great memories. Awesome fricking time piece. Great video. 5*

Once again, thank you Teddy for introducing me to Ball watches. Recently, I purchased my fourth Ball watch, the 135th anniversary edition. While a multi-colored example is not one I would purchase, I very much enjoy all your videos.

I bought and like the 40mm. An avoidable fault: the bracelet snaps shut with a very tight click, and is tough on the fingers to open. Makes one grumble every time. The color is nowhere near as vibrant as in the ads; they used unusual lighting. But it's a great and unique effect.

I look forward to watching the review, but first some friendly criticism: For your main presentation shot, please consider creating visual separation between you and the background when you have the shades pulled down. You can light up the background, or backlight your head and shoulders, or you can wear lighter clothing so your head doesn’t appear to float in a sea of dark tones. Your videography is at such a high standard, but this stands out as something that can easily be improved to match the quality of your other shots. Keep up the great work!

Love this ball, and def agree that the 40 is the one to get. I'd also like to say, as a ball fan as well, that I'm glad you didn't mention the same Ball story in the intro like you have more numerous other Ball watch reviews. While useful to freshly initiated, it started to make these Ball reviews very predictable so thank you for the change

A real fun watch Teddy. I'm still to really look at the Ball watches in close up at the AD, my last chance the AD was closed over the Winter holidays so next time I'll take a look at not just this version (if available) but at others in the range as well. I like the idea of the tritium tubes but as I say I've yet to experience them in the flesh although I understand that they are not as bright initially as say Superluminova they are lumed all the time. Great macro filming as usual.

I have the 40mm version of this watch and I love it. I only have one critique: the crown is too small. This is the only watch I own that is actually difficult to wind and set. Sure, I eventually get the job done, but it's annoying. It could benefit from a little larger crown.

I really don't understand the hate that this company receives: Ball watches have legitimate history ("get on the ball!") and the have had a number of very unique or uncommon approaches to their watches and technology. @@505pwned if you're worried about "value" over what you like, you need to get into stocks, not watches. Good luck trying to find an Omega for 4k as they are now cracking down on gray market and flippers now. @@varanid9 Watch collecting can become a very expensive hobby....if I'm given the opportunity to a aquire a time piece that I enjoy and not loose money down the road.....I'll make the smart decision and do just that...... Why buy a watch that you like now and loose money later? You risk the probably of not even giving that watch any wrist time and now your stuck with a valueless watch that you don't favor anymore and can't sell. Of course I'm only talking about bands that sell watches for an unjustified price that use generic movements. (Ball, Tag,Bell&Ross..etc). I'm all in favor of "Buy what you like" but. just letting you know that watch companies really like to sell the history of the brand as a business marketing gimmick to sell their generic movement watches for a meaningless upcharge. And watch collectors fall for this all the time and regret it later. The history of a watch brand won't make the watch more accurate, reliable, robust. I care more about the value and performance of a timepiece. I don't care a single bit about the history. Because the history Makes zero impact for performance. Unfortunately Ball watches fall under this category. People are out here getting robbed blind. 😂😂😂😂

38mm can work on any wrist really. I wear 32mm on my 197mm wrist all the time. I also wear 52mm. And I knew a guy with a 165mm wrist that loved to wear 48mm. It's all about how you wear it and your style and personality.

@@matthew_ferguson Many people claim that watch size is primarily a matter of personal taste but I totally disagree. To me a watches size should in general reflect its style and era which means that the majority of today's dress watches, supposed military watches, retro watches, even many classics are just way too large and also needlessly heavy. I cringe at XXL Santoses, massive Tanks and virtually any Citizen. I don't mind people following their personal preferences but I am struggling to find adequately sized affordable watches for my totally average wrist.
