I don't think he does at this point. The question is, does the emperor know, because he always wanted to make his 'little brother' as his heir. Prince or not, Jinshi always wanted out, so he was confused why his 'brother' always wanted to do that so bad.

Wild guess here - The new lady, Loulan, if she were to have a boy with the emperor, that boy could become the new emperor, but only if Jinshi is not going to inherit the throne first. Meaning she'd have to know that Jinshi is the Emperor's son AND would have to get him out of the way.

Considering how long it took between the salt poisoning and now and the number of volumes of the Light Novel don't expect to find out the motives behind things in the next 4 episodes, this author like to take time for things to ripen before answers blossom.

Only thing that baffles me is why Suriel..gave Maomao those hints...which ended up ruining her plans...She earlier also seemed to want to know just how good Maomao is with poisons...was it all a test... for something bigger?...or maybe surei loves living on the edge lol.

I think Jinshi knows he’s full identity. And I think right now, whether as the current emperor’s son or his brother, he’s still first in line and he doesn’t want to be the next emperor. If the emperor gets a new son, he will be moved back in the succession either way since the emperor hasn’t chosen an empress yet. The empress’s son will always be next in line before a concubine’s son. So despite being first-born, if the emperor gets a son from any other concubine and he marries that concubine, Jinshi’s “safe”.

I really enjoy thinking about her and her father as Doctor Watson and Sherlock. The show gives us Lakan as a Moriarty candidate then Suirei comes out from the shadows. It's not a big deal if MaoMao not thinking the same. Her crazy laugh cemented everthing in their place

Regarding whether Jinshi knows who he is. This might be a spoiler so I'll write it below: Jinshi 100% knows. But the current emperor's wish is for Jinshi to succeed him. Jinshi doesn't want to, so that's why Jinshi said he hopes the emperor gets himself a new prince. But, rest assured he's fully aware.

I dont think jinshi knows, Jinshi have to succeed the emperor if his "brother" pass away without a heir, he doesnt want that so its really a situation of either way he will succeed the emperror, but he can free himself from that with a new heir to his brother, if he and the others know who jinshi really is, even with another heir, he would still be the next in line as the oldest. Jinshi only pretends to be 24 so he can walk around as a eunuch, since everyone would know that the emperor's brother is 19 now

He never knew, and he never wanted to be king. He was just confused why the emperor wanted him to be his heir so bad. He instead went to the harem palace and act as a nurturer to make sure the emperor has abundant sons, so that he can be left alone.

I'm pretty sure Jinshi knows he's Ah Duo's daughter. That's why he was so depressed when she was leaving the rear palace. He knows who his real mother is, but he was raised as the emperor's younger brother and had to pretend like she wasn't. All the introspection about the "role" he's forced to play by the current emperor traces back to Jinshi knowing he's just pretending to be something he isn't.

I think i understand why Jinshi's position is so delicate but i'm still confused by it, because if his true identity of being the son of the emperor is found out then everybody would look at thim as the rightfull heir to the throne, he's strong, gorgeous and intelligent but the emperor (his father) even tho he has "Jinshi" he sent him to be in change of the rear palace, a place where their only goal is to produce children to be heirs. This makes me question why hide "Jinshi" in the first place?? If they are worried about the circumstances of his birth then why not just hide that and have him pretend to be the younger brother of the emperor?? We know that the current story of the younger brother is that he's sick and doesn't go out when in reality we know he died as a baby, but even tho they could have Jinshi pretending to be the younger brother i don't think they did that, because if Jinshi was posing as him then everybody and their mother would recognise Jinshi by just looking at him yet nobody knows him as anything other than the gorgeous eunuch in charge of the rear palace. If the emperor doesn't want Jinshi as his heir and even went as far as to hide is true identity then why didn't he just strip him of his status and kicked him out or even why didn't he just kill him?? Is that the reason why that group is trying to get rid of Jinshi?? My head hurts

Also there are many other hints that someone isn't an eunuch that need to be taken care of, deep voice, facial hair so on... depends on the age
