I made a gift for my aging father as he was battling cancer. Because I live far away I was concerned if I would make it to see him in time as I wanted to create this gift to encourage him before he leaves this earth.
In this video I share my thoughts about the end of life, about the hope we have as Christians even in death.
Using mixed media, collage, papercutting and also my digital art - I put together a meaningful collection of bible verses in an altered board book to tell a little story about life. Making this book turned out to be very therapeutic and helped me spiritually to draw closer to God’s word, comforting and strengthening me personally as I was preparing to say good bye to my father.
